Did you buy your home using help-to-buy? Tell us about your experience

The government has announced plans for a new scheme to help first-time buyers purchase a home. The programme, called “Your first home”, is intended to help buyers in England who have a regular income but have been unable to save for a large deposit or don’t have financial support from their family.

We’d like to hear from people who used the previous help-to-buy equity loan scheme. Did it help you buy a home you otherwise couldn’t have afforded?

How have you found the scheme since? Have you encountered any unexpected costs or difficulties when repaying the loan, remortgaging or selling your home? Or has Help to Buy worked well for you?
