“Jackson, I love the intensity. Definitely saw an improvement,” Carrie Ann said. But she noted that he’s not dancing to the music, he’s dancing above the music. Emma seemed confused by that feedback.

“I want you to be more ferocious,” Derek said. “It needs a little bit more boldness.”

Bruno agreed with Carrie Ann and Derek.

Jackson and Emma seemed less-than-thrilled with the judges critiques.

They received an 18 out of 30 from the judges.

This week, they’re doing a paso doble routine to “Easy Lover” by Philip Bailey and Phil Collins.

Strong start! Jackson definitely has the passion in his eyes. The steps aren’t perfect but there is definite improvement from him this week!

Emma brought fellow pro Alan Bersten in to set an example for Jackson to emulate – and it definitely seems to have paid off!

Ciara and Brandon received an 18 out of 30 from the judges.

They’re dancing a cha cha to “Never Too Much” by Luther Vandross.

Ciara is bringing back her Summer House alter ego Karma Brown for tonight’s dance – the real fans know Karma.

Loads of hip rolls to start! They look great! A little blunder from Ciara in the middle. And I’m not sure there was a ton of cha cha? But the vibe was 10/10.

“That was a quickstep masterclass in elegance,” Derek said. “Your top line is exquisite.”

“The footwork had the lightness of Ginger Rogers,” Bruno said.

“You expanded it,” Carrie Ann said of the top line (of Maura’s arms in frame with Mark’s).

Maura and Mark received a 22 out of 30 from the judges.

Team Tink are dancing a quickstep to “Turn Your Love Around” by George Benson.

The vibe is great – I love the white outfits and sleek hair and makeup.

Ooh Maura definitely seemed to miss a beat that coincided with the music. It was awkward.

But the steps themselves are great! Another solid effort from these two.

“I need you to engage your core,” Carrie Ann said. “Otherwise, you’re on the right track. I don’t want this to discourage you.”

“Taylor, that was your best dance,” Derek said. “I see you taking on the notes.”

“You were really concentrating,” Bruno said. “Use the music. Don’t interrupt the phrases. You’re a musician. You understand what I’m talking about.”

Taylor and Britt received an 18 out of 30 from the judges.

They’re dancing a foxtrot to “What a Fool Believes” by The Doobie Brothers.

I hate when couples are out of sync running down the stairs. Pet peeve.

This foxtrot is clunky … They’re not together. It got a little better as it went on but not their best …

The fierce foursome are dressed as sailors and ever in sync. They’re just so good!
