Five London Underground lines are going to be hit with closures this weekend, according to Transport for London (TfL). The closures affect the Central line, District line, Hammersmith and City line, Metropolitan line, and Piccadilly line.
The Piccadilly line closure could be particularly problematic as there is no service on the entire line on Friday night (June 12) which makes journeys to Heathrow Airport far more difficult. You can use the Elizabeth line to get to the airport until around midnight. The closure is in place to cater for track work.
There will also be maintenance work on the Weaver, and Windrush lines. Essential maintenance work will also complicate journeys between Poplar and Beckton this weekend.
