With the breakneck pace of contemporary fashion – where a trend can take over the feed and then disappear within weeks, even days – it is rare for a runway piece to retain its cachet beyond the season. The index, which collates search and social-media data to assess brand buzz, also saw Prada take the top spot as the quarter’s ‘hottest brand’ (it knocked Parisian powerhouse Chanel into number two).
