**Warning: Lanterns season finale spoilers ahead** DC Studios co-chief Peter Safran has given fans an update on a potential Lanterns return for season two – and it’s both good and bad news. The HBO Max series, starring Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler as John Stewart and Hal Jordan, ended its first season run last week with some major twists setting the stage for what’s to come in the DC Universe. The family of William Chapman, who was killed by a tiger at a wildlife park, have said “deeply offensive media content is causing them severe distress” after US President Donald Trump reposted a widely shared video of the incident. Mr Trump posted footage of Mr Chapman being fatally attacked by a tiger at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to 13 million followers on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday evening. The 23-year-old’s family posted a tribute, also on Tuesday evening, describing him as a “bright, warm and engaging young man”, criticising the online reaction to his death and questioning what part his “significant mental illness over a number of years” and prescribed strong medication played in the incident. The truth is still out there. A reboot of The X-Files shepherded by Ryan Coogler has landed a series order at Hulu. The Sinners filmmaker has been developing the project for several years, and he wrote and directed the pilot episode. Coogler will be an executive producer on the series, with Jennifer Yale (Underground, See) serving as showrunner. Onyx Collective and 20th Television produce along with Coogler’s Proximity Media. TSB and Santander have provided an update to their customers following a series of branch closures. Numerous UK banks have closed their high street branches as services move online. For those high streets still retaining bank branches, questions have remained about their long-term future. Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, all under the Lloyds Banking Group umbrella, are closing 247 bank branches during 2026 and 2027. NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) will likewise close 49 of their bank branches across 2026 and 2027. After these closures, it will maintain its remaining 336 branches open until no earlier than 2029. TSB and Santander customers have now been informed there will be no additional closures until 2028. TSB presently operates 175 branches throughout the UK, while Santander runs 305. However, the update also brought a handful of new indigenous languages to the device’s keyboard, allowing users to type and send messages in Blackfoot and other languages. In the US, Monday is Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a federally recognized holiday honoring Native American heritage, culture and sovereignty. Some of the supported languages have only a couple of thousand speakers. Consider Cherokee, which has only about 1,500 fluent speakers in the entire world. Police have issued an update after a man was killed by a tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. South Yorkshire Police said the unnamed victim was not believed to have been accompanied by anybody when he jumped into the big cat’s enclosure on Saturday. A spokesman said on Monday: “It is not believed that the man who died at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park was being accompanied by anybody.” This comes as the City of Doncaster Council has also said it has launched a health and safety investigation into the man’s death.
