We expect the first beta of macOS 27 to be seeded to developers during WWDC 2026 in June, and a public beta to follow in July. Following beta testing, the update should be released to all users with a compatible Mac in September. macOS 26 is known as macOS Tahoe, but the name of macOS 27 has yet to leak. Siri Upgrades macOS 27 will reportedly include a full-out Siri chatbot that you can have back-and-forth conversations with. This would make Siri more like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini. Due to delays, macOS 27 might also include at least some of the personalized Siri features that Apple previewed all the way back at WWDC 2024. Steve Perry has denied rumors that he will rejoin rock group Journey for their upcoming farewell tour. Perry, 77, joined the San Francisco-based band in 1977 and was their singer during their most successful era, performing on hits including 1981’s “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Journey went on hiatus in 1987 following the death of Perry’s mother, but reunited with him for their 1996 album Trial By Fire. However, after Perry learned he had a degenerative bone condition he decided against touring the record and was replaced by singer Steve Augeri in 1998. Augeri was himself replaced by Filipino cover band singer Arnel Pineda in 2007, who is now the band’s longest-serving frontman and is expected to lead the farewell tour. A portrait of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s ill-fated second wife, is now thought to be an attempt to rehabilitate her image after her death. Using infrared reflectography, historians and curators have uncovered evidence that the work was at least partially created to dispel rumors that Boleyn was a witch with six fingers. In the painting, which hangs in Hever Castle in England, both of Boleyn’s hands, each with the usual number of digits, are visible. But the new infrared scans reveal that the underdrawing for the portrait didn’t show her hands at all, suggesting that the work’s unknown maker deviated from the drawing to include them. Source link
