Couples With Stronger Relationships Than Most Say 5 Phrases On A Regular Basis

One of the most important factors in making or breaking a romantic relationship is the way the two people involved speak with one another. Two couples can start off loving each other just as much, but if one has serious breakdowns in communication often enough, they’re far more likely to break things off entirely at some point. Building a strong relationship requires time, trust, commitment, and a whole lot of communication. At some point, one or both of you will face significant challenges. Couples who make sure to take the time and make the effort to say specific words to each other regularly are the most likely to stay strong and be by each other’s side no matter what. 5 phrases couples in the strongest relationships use when talking to each other on a regular basis 1. “I’m grateful for everything you do.” Jelena Danilovic from Getty Images via Canva Showing gratitude is important in relationships with anyone. 8 Of The Best And Worst Fruits To Help You Poop

8 Of The Best And Worst Fruits To Help You Poop

One in seven UK adults experience constipation at any given point in time. That’s a lot of backed-up people – and those figures are even higher (one in three) for children and women, who face twice as much constipation as men. The uncomfortable state can leave you feeling bloated, sick, and low on appetite. For those struggling to get things going, any helpful tools (like chewing sorbitol-rich sugar-free gum) are welcome. Of course, the best advice is to stay hydrated, eat enough fibre, and keep active. Aside from those lifestyle interventions, though, it seems some foods are more, er, useful than others. For instance, while certain fruits help you “go”, others might actually keep the pipes clogged for longer. The best fruits to help you poop 1) Prunes Look, it’s a cliché for a reason. Prunes are high in a sugar alcohol called sorbitol, which draws water into your colon and softens the stool. The added pressure this bulk places on your bowels encourages motion, too. Some research even suggests dried prunes (which contain the …

11 Resentful Phrases Deeply Unhappy Husband Say On A Regular Basis

Marriage is meant to be a joyous partnership where both people grow together, but when unhappiness takes root, it can show up in the words spouses say to one another.  Much of the language unhappy husbands use can actually reveal their struggle to express dissatisfaction with their marriage in a clear way. Deeply unhappy husbands often say these resentful phrases regularly: 1. ‘I just want some peace and quiet’ oneinchpunch | Shutterstock An unhappy husband wants to cry for relief during his hardest times, and the phrase “I just want some peace and quiet” hides deeper frustrations than simple tiredness. It’s the expectations and responsibilities piling up onto an already strained marriage. He reflects a yearning for space from his chaotic setting and, if his partner is willing, to include them in the fantasy where they can reconnect with themselves. Yet, this longing for peace often gets mistaken for detachment. The Real Threat to the Midterms Is Regular Americans Thinking Violence Is the Answer

The Real Threat to the Midterms Is Regular Americans Thinking Violence Is the Answer

The attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, was not conducted mainly by extremists or fringe militia groups. It was, according to the data, the work of normal Americans. That is the conclusion Robert A. Pape lays out in his new book, Our Own Worst Enemies: America in the Age of Violent Populism, citing data about those who were arrested and charged following the attack. While Proud Boys and Oath Keepers gained most of the headlines, data collected by Pape as part of his work as founding director of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST) found that the vast majority (90 percent) of those charged with crimes arising from the attack held no affiliation with militias or militant organizations. Pape’s analysis found that 22 percent were business owners, and almost 30 percent held a college degree. Among the defendants were doctors, engineers, CEOs, and government employees. Nearly 40 percent held white-collar jobs, while just 8 percent of participants were unemployed. The findings are key to understanding the warning that is central to …

Kyle MacLachlan on Being ‘A Regular Guy from Yakima’ Who’s ‘Drawn to Darkness’

Do you feel like you ever figured it out? A version of him. Yeah, I think so. But there’s always problems. Either he’s a murderer or impotent. There’s always things. It’s like, “Oh, he has another problem besides that.” The romantic hero, he’s perfect, but maybe he’s got some other sort of major issue he’s kind of getting through. When you watch Timothée Chalamet now in Dune, do you see yourself? I don’t, really, but when I watched the movies, I was very nostalgic. I felt like I was revisiting something. The scene where he puts his hand in the pain box, it was almost word for word, because it’s from the book. I’m like, “Oh God, I remember that day and I remember working with Siân Phillips and I remember the costume and then how the camera moved and the choices I made walking in.” I mean, everything came kind of flooding back in a very unexpected way. And then I was like, “Oh, that would have been a great scene. I wish we’d …

Rangers Push the AL West Race to the Final Day of the Regular Season With a 6-2 Win Over the Twins

Rangers Push the AL West Race to the Final Day of the Regular Season With a 6-2 Win Over the Twins

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Danny Jansen homered and drove in two runs as the Texas Rangers pushed the AL West race to the final day of the regular season with a rain-delayed 6-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday. Jake Burger also went deep for the Rangers (80-81), who moved a half-game ahead of Houston atop the division standings — with the Astros scheduled to play later at the Athletics. Houston holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over Texas, so the AL West champion won’t be decided until Sunday. Following a 10-2 loss Friday and a two-hour weather delay Saturday, the Rangers scored four runs with two outs in the second inning and never looked back. After the first two batters struck out, Nicky Lopez hit a two-out double off Twins starter Bailey Ober (7-7). Jansen’s blooper dropped in for an RBI single, and a throwing error by left fielder Alan Roden allowed Jansen to reach second. Evan Carter, Alejandro Osuna and Brandon Nimmo all followed with RBI doubles to put Texas ahead 4-1. Jansen added a …

The billionaire heirs who were forced to work regular jobs before receiving their trust funds

The billionaire heirs who were forced to work regular jobs before receiving their trust funds

The world’s next gen “nepo babies” carry the label of trust fund kids whose ultra-wealthy parents handle the burden of their spending habits. But the image of lavish lifestyles and free-wheeling cash flows isn’t always the case. Some billionaire (and multi-millionaire) parents are trying to make sure their children aren’t spoiled and know the true worth of hard work and earning each dollar. Some scions, like Vanderbilt heir Anderson Cooper, have openly spoken of the “curse” of inheritance, arguing that inherited money is “an initiative sucker.” Certainly there are legal mechanisms that can also be put in place to protect fortunes – incentive trusts or conditional inheritance, for example – and ensure that heirs will be forced to earn their own paychecks. But some wealthy offspring have also been encouraged to work in “real-world” jobs, despite their family’s financial status. There are several examples of children from super-rich families not only learning about the value of a buck from a young age, but also delving into the workforce on their own. From pediatrician Jennifer Gates …

What Different Fart Smells (And Sensations) Can Tell You About Your Health

What Different Fart Smells (And Sensations) Can Tell You About Your Health

Even if you won’t admit it to yourself, we all love the smell of our own farts. In fact, back in 2014, ScienceAlert revealed that we find our farts more appealing than the smell of others. However, do you ever find that your farts even disgust you? Or that what you thought would be a subtle, silent fart is actually silent-but-violent? Well, according to NHS Surgeon and health communicator Dr Karan Rajan, we could actually learn a lot about our health and what we’re missing in our diets just by how our farts smell and feel. What your farts reveal about your health Silent-but-deadly In an Instagram post, Dr Rajan says: “If your farts are silent but deadly, you might not be eating enough fibre.” If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. The British Heart Foundation advises: “In the UK, the government recommends adults eat 30g of fibre per day, but most of us fall short, averaging around 17g a day.” Loud-but-odourless Ever do an absolute arse trumpet of a fart, expecting to clear the …

It Turns Out ‘Poop Pills’ Could Help Us Sleep Better

It Turns Out ‘Poop Pills’ Could Help Us Sleep Better

You’ve probably heard that your gut health may affect more than just your stomach. Some researchers think it might be linked to everything from our mood to our energy levels. And according to research published in the Journal of Internal Medicine, “poop pills” might one day make insomnia more manageable. The paper, which covered a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, found that among adults with chronic sleeplessness, the addition helped to improve “objective sleep continuity and sustained subjective insomnia outcomes”. What are “poop pills”? In this study, participants were given faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) capsules. This is one way to transfer bacteria, usually derived from stool samples, from a donor’s gut to their recipient’s. FMT can also occur through colonoscopy. The bacteria comes from faecal samples, which are thoroughly tested before being frozen and prepared for use. Half of the study’s participants took antibiotics, which wipe out some of our body’s own bacteria, for two days before swallowing the tablets. Two weeks later, they took a smaller booster dose. The FMT pills contained gut bacteria from …
