Renault Is Tired Of Partner Brands Cloning Its Designs

Renault Is Tired Of Partner Brands Cloning Its Designs

Renault wants its partners to have unqiue offerings Renault We recently did a story about the shared components between the Renault Twingo E-Tech and the Nissan Pixo twins, mentioning that the new Dacia Spring has more distinct styling despite the shared underpinnings. It seems that the same issue has been bothering Renault, which is now asking its partners to ensure greater differentiation between jointly developed models in the future. As reported by Autocar, citing insider sources, Renault executives were not happy with the design similarities between the Nissan Micra EV and the Renault 5 E-Tech. This is surprising to read, as the two subcompact hatchbacks share the same proportions, hard points, greenhouse, and roof section, but almost every single body panel has been redesigned by Nissan. We can only imagine their thoughts about the Nissan Pixo and Renault Twingo E-Tech, or the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross EV and the Renault Scenic E-Tech. Even worse is the shameless rebadging of the Renault Clio, Captur, and Symbioz by Mitsubishi in Europe. No more lazy rebadging …

the psychology of why a romantic partner can suddenly repulse you

the psychology of why a romantic partner can suddenly repulse you

Ever felt a sudden wave of cringe toward someone you were into – all because they wore questionable shoes or chewed a bit too loudly? Congratulations, you’ve caught “the ick”. That instant flip from attraction to total repulsion is everywhere on TikTok and Instagram, with singletons and couples bonding over the specific, often ridiculous triggers that turned them off. But beyond the viral memes and funny rants, why does our brain sometimes pull the handbrake so fast on an attraction? There are a number of potential explanations. Some psychologists have argued that the ick might be linked to the phenomenon of sexual disgust. Sexual disgust is hypothesised as an emotion that has been shaped by the selection pressure of evolution, which is the idea that women are hardwired to choose males that they can successfully mate with, to ensure the survival of their babies. From this perspective, while perhaps overzealous, the ick serves as a function to ensure appropriate mating. This theory comes with its limitations however, as not all women are dating or in …

Ken Urker, partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, found dead in Louisiana home

Ken Urker, partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, found dead in Louisiana home

Ken Urker, the partner of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, made comments about being depressed before being found dead in his Louisiana home from an apparent drug overdose, authorities said. Deputies responded to a home in Raceland around 6:15 p.m. Thursday and found Urker dead, the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “At this time, we are continuing the death investigation,” the office said. The sheriff’s office said in an emailed statement that it found no evidence of foul play. An initial report released by the sheriff’s office states that officers were called to Urker’s home for a wellness check. A man and Urker’s boss gained access to the home through an unlocked window and found him lying on his bed, cold to the touch, the report says. Deputies searching the home found paraphernalia, including syringes and a spoon, in a bathroom next to a “brown powdery substance,” according to the report. A syringe, a holstered handgun and two shot glasses were on the nightstand next to the bed, the report says. Authorities noted it appeared …

Burberry Winter 2026: The Day-to-Night Menswear Edit

Burberry Winter 2026: The Day-to-Night Menswear Edit

In February this year, Burberry’s creative director Daniel Lee swapped the countryside for the capital, puddles ’n’ all. The iconic brand’s Winter 2026 show took over Old Billingsgate, the former fish market on the Thames, and rebuilt London after dark inside it: a replica of Tower Bridge, a tarmac runway slick with rain and the sort of lamp-lit drizzle every Londoner knows by heart. The message was simple: The city doesn’t clock off at six, and neither should your wardrobe. London’s post-work nocturnalism demands a wardrobe that looks equally refined in the office and in a Mayfair bar. That’s the thinking behind this edit: a handful of new-collection pieces that take you from the Northern Line at 8am to a corner table in Soho at 11pm, with no detour home required. Coats first, naturally. This is Burberry, and it’s winter… Essential Day-to-Night Outerwear Burberry’s heritage is built on fabric innovation and functionality, putting the coat at the beating heart of the brand from the very beginning. Get this bit right and everything else falls into …

Instagram lets you blur your partner in Stories

Instagram lets you blur your partner in Stories

First came the hand across the dinner table. Then the second drink, the carefully cropped shoulder, and the suspiciously tall shadow. Now Instagram has a new way to hint that you’re seeing someone. The platform’s new Pixel effect lets you blur a person or object in a Story by describing what you want pixelated in a text prompt. In a post showing off the effect, Instagram leaned into its dating potential: “Soft launching? We got you.” If you’re unfamiliar with the ritual, a soft launch lets your followers know there’s a new person in your life without telling them exactly who it is. You might post their hand or the back of their head. Pixel takes that idea a step further: Everyone can see that your date is in the photo, but their identity remains a mystery. And there’s an audience for that kind of reveal. Tinder data reported by Mashable in 2023 found that 26 percent of UK 18- to 34-year-olds would rather gradually reveal a new partner online, compared with 8 percent who …

Stem Cell & Exosome Hair Treatment in London: An Honest Hair Restoration Review

Stem Cell & Exosome Hair Treatment in London: An Honest Hair Restoration Review

There is a particular kind of dread that arrives with overhead lighting. You catch yourself in a lift mirror, or in the front-facing camera you didn’t mean to open, and the crown is doing something it wasn’t doing two years ago. The options at that point feel binary and both feel bad: do nothing, or consider a hair transplant. The category between those two poles has quietly become the most interesting part of men’s grooming. The treatment I had in April sits in the middle of it: Autologous Micrografting Technology – AMT – the thing behind the “stem cell and exosome” language. I had it at Ouronyx on St James’s Street on 09/04/26. Here’s what it is, what happened, and what I can and can’t honestly claim about the results. What a stem cell and exosome hair treatment actually is Strip the marketing away and AMT is a tissue transfer, not a drug and not a transplant. A doctor takes two or three tiny punches of skin – around 2.5mm, from the mastoid area behind …

Best-selling colognes: What sets the icons apart?

Best-selling colognes: What sets the icons apart?

The constant evolution of our cologne collection reminds us of the ever-changing skyline of, say, New York or London. Some older scents are replaced by flashy newcomers or reformulated, like the buildings that keep the original façade but modernise the interior. Then, there are always the oldest, most treasured pillars that provide the permanent backdrop, and the reference for reinvention. A landmark in the landscape of men’s colognes, Rabanne’s 1 Million Eau de Toilette, is the ultimate best seller and a true original that sparked a thousand copies. The iconic gold bar is instantly recognisable, while the bold, sparkling blend of blood mandarin, peppermint, warm cinnamon, rich leather and smooth amber strike the perfect balance between fresh and seductive. The striking trophy silhouette of Rabanne’s Invictus Eau de Toilette is in a similar league. It’s clean, energetic fragrance fuses fresh grapefruit and marine notes with aromatic bay leaf and a warm woody-amber base of ambergris and guaiac wood. Both fragrances are regular entries in the “best cologne” lists, but they don’t always tell you how …

When a Partner Lacks the Gift of Perspective-Taking

When a Partner Lacks the Gift of Perspective-Taking

As an emotionally intelligent person, you tend to think and care about how you impact other people. You dislike seeing other people hurt, so you do your best to be inclusive and conscientious. To understand people better, you try to see things from their viewpoint for a moment, even when they feel differently. This perspective-taking ability may be so automatic that you may not even be aware that you do it. Also, you may assume that everybody does it. But some do not, especially in an interpersonal relationship when being close requires them to be authentically vulnerable. Instead, they may seem to always need to be right, perhaps to maintain the upper hand in the relationship. Although it is hard to believe, there is a certain type of person who is too insecure to take a person’s perspective if it differs from their own in a close relationship. They may be able to contemplate a different viewpoint in the outside world because things are less personal, but in a close relationship, their self-esteem may not …

From Research Subject to Research Partner

From Research Subject to Research Partner

Emma Collins, Patient and Public Involvement Manager, Encephalitis International Much that is written about patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) focuses on how the involvement of patients and their caregivers improves research. Lesser attention is given to the equally important question: What does participating in research do for the patient? Through the words of those affected by neurological illness and brain injury who have since engaged with research, this post will challenge the assumption that PPIE is carried out only to benefit research and researchers. Rather, it will show that PPIE can become an aspect of a person’s recovery and reintegration into society following a brain injury. When I realized that speaking was triggering partial paralysis/seizures to my face, I avoided speaking… After each episode, I could feel my cognitive abilities, vision and motor skills failing. As I remained silent, I made a promise to myself. If and when I speak again, I will advocate for research and use my voice for good—to help others learn more about this condition. That’s my motivation, my …

Spotify expands its partner program for podcasts to 35 new countries

Spotify expands its partner program for podcasts to 35 new countries

Spotify is expanding its partner program for podcasts, which lets podcasters earn money from ad and Premium revenue sharing, to a total of 35 regions, including Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Poland, Chile, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas this fall. Eligible podcasters will be able to earn revenue from both video and audio podcasts — video impressions by Premium users count towards revenue, as does ad revenue share from free users listening to the show. The company said podcasters can distribute their shows on other platforms and also keep all the revenue they earn from sponsorships. Spotify has so far run its partner podcast program in the U.S., Europe, and Australia, and this is the streaming service’s biggest geographical expansion for this program. The company said that video podcast consumption on Spotify has increased 140% since the feature was launched in 2022, and its total monthly payouts to shows has gone up a third since January. Earlier this year, Spotify changed its eligibility criteria to earn revenue from video podcasts. Creators can now apply …
