King Charles drops high-fashion collaboration: ‘Picture this’

King Charles, 77, is celebrated for his dedication to royal duties and his unwavering passion for the environment, but what he may not be so well known for is being a fashionista. However, his country home has now teamed up with powerhouse Burberry for an exciting Highgrove x Burberry launch.  Burberry shared an Instagram post in conjunction with Highgrove Gardens and the video showed an animated video of the watercolour coming to life as well as the full look at the beautiful scarf. The caption read: “Picture this. An original watercolour by His Majesty The King depicting Birkhall on the Balmoral Estate – featured on the Highgrove x Burberry silk scarf.” The announcement garnered a lot of love online, including royal fans adding that it was a “stunning” and “beautiful” piece. One simply wrote: “Oh wow,” while others opted for love-heart-eyed emojis to express their opinion.  Other ‘new in’ items, as per the Highgrove Gardens website, include a trench coat, jacket and checked cashmere scarf.  This is not the first time that the iconic heritage …

King Charles was “bored out of his mind” at Coronation rehearsals until his grandson Prince Louis came to the rescue, Penny Mordaunt has said.  The former Conservative MP, who was speaking at the Cheltenham Literature Festival, said the monarch, 77, “glazed over” in his coronation chair after two weeks of practice and looked like he’d “had enough”.  Luckily, his grandson Prince Louis, the youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, showed up – and the King soon “sprung to life” again.  Penny recalled, as per the Telegraph: “We were doing dress rehearsals on the Thursday before, and the King was bored out of his mind. Ever since his arrest back in February, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been keeping a very low-profile. The King’s brother has taken up residence in Marsh Farm on the monarch’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, and has only been seen on a handful of occasions. But he was back in the news this week after winning his legal challenge against Thames Valley police over search warrants used to raid his home after they arrested him. The former prince, who denies any wrongdoing, was arrested by police on 19 February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, after which he launched a legal challenge over the legality of the search warrants. The force said it accepted that the “initial court’s decision to issue warrants under the specific piece of legislation used was incorrect” before they searched the properties. Mr Justice Hilliard said on Thursday that while the former Duke of York and Thames Valley Police had reached an “agreement” that the warrants were unlawful, police have since launched a bid to retain evidence gathered during the searches in February. …

Each year in autumn, the palace is subject to an “invasion”, a pest control expert has revealed in an upcoming episode of Channel 5’s Buckingham Palace: A Year in the Life. The Princess of Wales delighted Three Peaks adventurers earlier this month with a surprise tea party at Windsor Castle – hosted by none other than herself.  The warm and welcoming afternoon was held at the King’s Berkshire home nearly two weeks ago, with one subtle detail suggesting King Charles himself had helped to support his daughter-in-law. King Charles attempted to reach out to a close friend after becoming ‘most concerned’ about his declining health and isolation – but was prevented from doing so.  The monarch and Sir Ranulph Fiennes have been friends for over 45 years, with their relationship spanning back to at least the late 1970s. And now their long-standing bond is back in the headlines. Friends and family members have expressed concern for Sir Ranulph following reports that he has been “unlawfully deprived of his liberty” and moved between care homes under fake names by his second wife and legal guardian, Louise Millington-Cotes. The 82-year-old retired explorer, who has Parkinson’s disease, has not been seen in public since late 2024. His loved ones have said they do not know his current whereabouts, and his stepson, Alexander Millington-Cotes, has spoken out publicly against his own mother, launching a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to fund a legal challenge to strip her of her power of attorney.  Now it has been revealed that the King also became concerned about his friend’s wellbeing.  …

His Majesty King Charles III often retreats to his country home, Highgrove House, when he’s not required for royal engagements elsewhere in the country. For the monarch, Tetbury in the Cotswolds is a place where he can get away from it all. He’s been known to get his hands dirty in the garden and uses the private chapel on site for quiet contemplation. A rarely seen room inside the estate was showcased on Instagram – and it has the most amazing wallpaper.  A video from a block printing workshop held at Highgrove was shared online, and the stunning setting truly stole the show. It’s not unusual to see reds and golds featuring inside a royal residence, but pink is a welcomed change. Princess Diana‘s former butler Paul Burrell has addressed Earl Spencer‘s claims in his memoir Swan Song that King Charles was “giddy like a lottery winner” when he heard the news of Princess Diana’s death. Appearing on Piers Morgan‘s Uncensored show on Tuesday (23 September), Mr Burrell said Charles was “a broken man” when he learned Diana had died. He said: “I was in Paris. I saw the King. According to royal sources quoted by Closer, the Prince of Wales is said to remain angry over the Sussexes’ public disclosures about the Royal Family and the impact they have had on the monarchy’s reputation. The sources claim William is now pushing his father to consider removing Harry and Meghan’s royal honours. One source said William is “determined to win” the latest dispute, adding: “When he’s got something in his sights, he won’t give up.” The source pointed to William’s stance on Prince Andrew as an example of his persistence. “For years, he was telling Charles he needed to take his titles and get tough, and it was a very long uphill battle, but William eventually got his way,” the source claimed. “He’s taking the same attitude here.
