Posts claiming to show a video of a Ukrainian woman being dragged away for forced military conscription have been circulating on social media. But the footage does not show this. Full Fact has traced the events back to an environmental protest against the felling of trees in Teremky, a neighbourhood in Kyiv. The video shows uniformed men holding a woman by her arms, before lifting and carrying her. Many people sharing the clip on social media have claimed that it shows the “forced mobilization of women in Ukraine”. We found the same clip was shared on Telegram at 10:32am on 22 September. However, a Google translation of the accompanying text says that it shows the municipal guards and a Teremky resident who was participating in a peaceful protest. I’ve trimmed my startup apps list quite a few times, and even gone through Autoruns line by line. Yet none of these tools perfectly explain why my laptop can feel busy long after the login screen. I decided this time to record a complete boot using Microsoft’s Windows Performance Toolkit, included with the Windows ADK, rather than continue guessing. The trace revealed activity that normal startup tools don’t show, and the experience changed how I view slow startup. Tesla’s most advanced driver-assistance feature is named Full Self-Driving (Supervised), but it can’t actually drive itself. While the feature can handle tasks like accelerating, braking, steering, and parking, the automaker requires drivers to stay alert and intervene at all times. Now, the company has officially renamed it to Tesla Assisted Driving (TAD) in Europe as it works to convince regulators to allow its use on public roads. Tesla offered to change the name, according to a statement by the German Transport Ministry. The statement says that German Transport Minister Steffen Bilger found the “FSD” name “somewhat misleading.” After discussions with Tesla last month, Bilger said he would now advocate for European regulators to approve the feature “as quickly as possible.” The EU will likely vote on its approval by the end of the year. On Friday, Tesla began using the Tesla Assisted Driving language on its European sales website. The automaker didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Tesla’s driver-assistance package is now called “Tesla Assisted Driving” in Europe. The company’s German website no longer mentions “Full Self-Driving,” and the old address now redirects to a new “Tesla Assisted Driving” page. The rename follows Germany’s Transport Ministry calling the FSD name misleading, and it’s part of a deal that has Berlin backing Tesla’s push for EU-wide approval. Germany wanted a new name, and Tesla offered one In a statement published October 6, Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV) wrote that the name of the system formerly sold as “FSD – Full Self-Driving Supervised” is misleading because the system doesn’t take over the full driving task.
