The bZ3X, Toyota’s fully electric SUV, is a hit in China. After delivering over 80,000 units in its first year on the market, the bZ3X has now remained the best-selling EV from a joint venture in China for 7 months straight. Toyota bZ3X EV deliveries top 80,000 in one year After launching the Bozhi 3X, or bZ3X for short, last March, Toyota’s joint venture in China, GAC-Toyota, claimed the electric SUV was “so popular that the server crashed.” A year later, it’s still a hit despite a wave of low-cost domestic rivals flooding the market. GAC-Toyota announced last month that bZ3X deliveries surpassed 80,000 in its first year. From September 2025 through March 2026, the electric SUV held the top sales position among joint-venture new-energy vehicles, including EVs and PHEVs. It’s now sold over 89,000 bZ3X models in China.
