Super Bowl LX is a little under a week away, but before the pigs rush into their blankets and oceans of light beer flood living rooms nationwide, there are two equally anticipated happenings GQ readers should know about.
The first is our annual GQ Bowl, fashion’s most football-forward night, slated for Friday, February 6, at the City by the Bay’s Legion of Honor museum. (Thom Browne, the man in the incredible shrinking suit, will present his fall 2026 collection in front of an audience as starry as the night sky.)
The second is GQ’s first-ever Vintage Shop, a collaboration between the broader GQ Recommends squad and the good folks at eBay. On Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7, from 10am-6pm PT, lucky attendees will have the chance to shop hundreds of retro sports gear at a free-to-the-public pop-up located at the eBay End Zone in San Francisco.
That’s right, folks—in anticipation of this very moment, we’ve scoured eBay’s digital shelves for months on end, sifting through a warehouse’s worth of sick sports gear to curate only the sickest sports gear available on the vintage market. (If we weren’t contractually obligated to pass the efforts of our scouring onto you, we’d greedily hoard it all for ourselves.) And we’re not just talking old-school football swag, either: included in the shop are a couple of tributes to Lithuania’s basketball program, a few defunct collegiate curling pinnies, and at least one glorious leather jacket from Gold’s Gym, the mecca of modern bodybuilding.
On top of all that, on Saturday, February 7, at 12pm PT, there’ll be eBay Live shopping segments fronted by GQ senior style editor Yang-Yi Goh and young-gun internet phenom Wisdom Kaye—along with special guest appearance from San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey. (We’re going to repeat that one more time: that’s Christian McCaffrey, people.)
So before you inevitably overdo it on queso and/or consume a medically inadvisable amount of sliders, step into our very real pop-up shop (or dial into the action on eBay Live), and deck yourself out in what very well may be the greatest concentration of vintage sports clothing ever assembled in one place.
