Triple Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty and his wife Holly Ramsay are expecting their first baby together.

The couple, who married at Bath Abbey in December, shared the news on Instagram on Saturday, writing: “Baby Ramsay-Peaty coming December 2026. We can’t wait to meet our baby girl.”

Ramsay, 26, an influencer who is the daughter of Gordon Ramsay, the chef, gave a glimpse of her baby bump in a photograph of her and her husband in a garden.

Victoria Beckham, a friend of the family who attended their wedding, responded “Congratulations!!!!!!” while her son, Romeo, placed a series of love hearts under the post.

Peaty, 31, a swimmer, who won the 100m breaststroke races at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, as well as the 4x100m mixed medley relay in Tokyo, is a father to George, five, with ex-girlfriend, Eirianedd Munro, an artist.

Ramsay and Peaty announced their engagement in 2024, after he proposed in Crete. They reportedly met through her sister, Tilly, who competed against Peaty on Strictly Come Dancing, the BBC dance contest programme, in 2021.

The wedding took place amid reports of a family feud. According to the Daily Mail, it escalated after Peaty’s mother, Caroline, was not invited to Holly’s hen party.

The Sun reported that his parents described Gordon Ramsay as “a big bully” who had “pushed them too far”. He dismissed the claims, saying: “I’m certainly not a bully.

“I think when you send personal chauffeur cars up to Nottingham to invite this incredible family down to enjoy their party … (it’s) appalling to even suggest there was any bullying. That’s absolute nonsense.

“Secondly, opening up my door, welcoming them into the family … there was a lot of friction going on before all that and so there was some stuff that they needed to sort it out, and so it was sad to see that barrage of negativity that was self-propelled by them.

“I think once you start enjoying that kind of press attention and you revel in it, you’re sort of feeding the beast.”

Peaty, who recently moved to London from the Midlands, has been focusing on his ambitions for Los Angeles 2028 and said he had a plan in place for the Olympics.

He told Olympics.com: “Because when you’ve got a plan, there’s no chaos, and you can’t really think about doubt, because you have to put yourself all in on that plan.

“All you ever can do is give your best effort. Things will go wrong in a race. There’s no such thing as a perfect race. But overcoming that with a plan is definitely my advice.”

He added: “I’d always rely on my wife first, because she spends the most time with me, and she has to put up with my training schedule. I’ve got a very close circle.

“Whether it’s doubt, whether it’s pushing harder, or sometimes even taking a step back because you’re trying too hard, that core layer is crucial.”
