’80s star Joanna Cassidy, 81, leaves fans doing a double take with sizzling bikini photo

’80s icon Joanna Cassidy stunned her fans on Wednesday when she shared an ageless snap on Instagram showcasing her incredible figure at 81 years old. The Blade Runner star was seated on a lounge in the sunshine, dressed in an unbuttoned white shirt that was tied at the front and bright blue bikini bottoms.

She wore her blonde-gray hair up in a messy bun and had a wide smile on her face as she posed for the sultry shot. “See you at the Providence, Rhode Island comic con this weekend, come rain or shine!!!!!!!!! Xoxoxo,” Joanna wrote in the caption, and her fans rushed to the comment section to share the love.

“Absolutely beautiful,” one fan wrote, while another added: “Wow… stunning as always.” A third chimed in: “Unreal!” while another declared her “Breathtaking” and a fifth said: “Looking gorg as usual.”

Joanna shot to fame in 1982 after starring as the replicant Zhora Salome in Blade Runner alongside Harrison Ford, and she followed up her performance with roles in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Under Fire, The Fourth Protocol, and Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.

The octogenarian shared that she felt better than ever going into her 80s, and told People that it felt “no different than when I was 30, quite honestly”.

“Time is an illusion! I’m very aware of the fact that it’s passing very quickly, but it’s sort of nothing. I just say, ‘Go day by day,'” she continued, before adding that “it’s just another adventure, another decade”.

“I know I’ll make it through beautifully and come out the other side of that one. Who knows what’ll happen after that? Just a decade,” Joanna said. “I think that when I turned 50, that was sort of the hard one, but this is just icing on the cake. I feel like I’m 35 and I think I look pretty good.”

As for how she maintains her ageless visage, Joanna told the publication that she tried to be a good person and to give to others.

Joanna said that helping others kept her young

“I think the most important thing that I do, which I’ve been learning how important it is, is to give back,” the mother of two advised. “The only things I have to accomplish are taking care of myself and working out and being a kind, loving person.”

“My mind is still open to learning how to be a good person. And every time I find another instance where I can be that, I just feel better. I know that has to do with your DNA, your all-around cellular health.”

Joanna’s relationship with former TV host Alan Hamel also keeps her young, with the pair reconnecting after his wife Suzanne Somers’ death in 2023.

“I have known Joanna Cassidy for over 45 years,” Alan told Page Six in 2025. “Joanna was a guest star on The Alan Hamel Show in Canada in the ’70s. She was a great guest, and it was a dynamic show, and we liked each other, not romantically, but mainly with respect. Both of us were married at the time.”

“My son met Joanna at a screening and, after a long conversation, suggested to Joanna that she and me would get along and should meet,” Alan recalled. “Stephen did not know we knew each other.”

Joanna coincidentally starred alongside Alan’s late wife Suzanne in the 1985 miniseries Hollywood Wives.

I studied medicine at Trinity College, Oxford, and qualified as a doctor. There are already many excellent blogs exploring faith, humanism, atheism, politics, rationalism, philosophical doubt and everything in between. But I don't intend to limit myself to any particular subject. This is simply a space where I'll share whatever comes to mind, whether it's something I've been thinking about for years or just a passing thought from the day.
