Why Every Advertiser Needs a Modern Ad Server

The global viewability rate for digital ads is set at approximately 73.6%, which means that about 26.4% of ads were not in view. To make their advertisements more viewable, businesses need efficient solutions for managing advertising campaigns. Many advertisers refer to a white label ad server as an efficient way for boosting their campaigns. In this article, we will explore ad servers, their main features, and the advertising challenges they help to solve, to highlight the immense value of such technologies for advertisers. What is an Ad Server? First, let’s clarify what an ad server is. It is a technological platform designed to manage, deliver, and monitor digital advertisements. It allows companies to boost their advertising campaigns with features like ad rotation, precise targeting, ad optimization, and ad search opportunities. Server Claims She Brings Kids Whatever They Ask For Even After The Parents Say No

After a server shared her “controversial” take on how she responds when families seated at her tables don’t allow their kids to order what they want, many individuals largely disagreed with her approach. The teen server always brings kid customers whatever they ask for, regardless of what parents say. A server took to TikTok claiming it makes her ‘sad’ to see kids seated at her tables get shut down by their parents, prompting her to intervene. The 18-year-old server Star, who goes by @beemmmoooo, shared a video of herself fixing her hair in the bathroom at work with the text, “This may be controversial but one thing about me that I’m not sorry for is that whenever a family comes to my job and the parents don’t let their kids order what they want and I see they look sad, I look at them, smile, and ask them directly what they want.” “I simply find it very sad when parents don’t let their kids get what they want,” she wrote. Avoid (Some) Discord Server Chaos With New Polls Feature

Avoid (Some) Discord Server Chaos With New Polls Feature

Discord added a long-awaited feature earlier this month. Discord servers can now abandon voting bots and reaction-based voting systems in favor of polls. Many social and messaging platforms — like Mastodon and Slack — have had polling functions for years, but this is the first time Discord has formally added the feature. Discord started as a voice chat service for gamers, so perhaps a polling function wasn’t as useful then. But now, the use of Discord has expanded beyond gaming, and servers who use the platform primarily for messaging will find a lot of value in the new feature. Adding polls on Discord is easy. Here’s why you should consider using polls and what to know about voting using polls. And if you’re considering joining a server, here’s our complete guide to Discord and what to know about ads on Discord.  Read more: Overwatch 2 Season 10 Guide: The Game Has Never Been This Good This is what it looks like when a Discord poll is final. Server Laughs At Customer Who Tried To Not Tip

Server Laughs At Customer Who Tried To Not Tip

A server revealed how he was able to get the last laugh after a customer refused to tip him. In a TikTok video, Dean Redmond shared how he was tasked with serving a large party of people. However, while serving them, one of the women in the group, who Redmond labeled as a ‘Karen,’ acted horribly toward him throughout their dinner, and threatened to tip him poorly. Redmond’s ‘difficult’ customer tried to tip him nothing, not realizing gratuity was automatically added. In Redmond’s video, he explained that while he was working, 26 people entered the restaurant looking to have dinner. He recalled that the group had come in only an hour before the restaurant closed and were rude to him throughout their meal. The party of 26 people immediately asked to be seated all together, despite Redmond informing them that they would need “two separate tables” since they didn’t have enough room to accommodate everyone. “This woman starts screaming that I have no idea what I’m talking about and ‘where’s my manager’,” Redmond said.  RELATED: Woman Lost Her Job …

A Haunted Discord Server Is the Last Good Place Online

A Haunted Discord Server Is the Last Good Place Online

In a charming game called This Discord Has Ghosts in It, up to 15 participants at a time gather in a Discord server that has been reimagined as a haunted house. (Of course.) Inside lies a maze of (chat) rooms where each player takes the role of either an eponymous spirit or a paranormal investigator. Each character has a secret motivation, chosen at the start of the game: For investigators, their secret is the reason they are in the house; for ghosts, it’s what pins their shade to the mortal realm. Your MO is not to win but to “give away the game,” as the very purple game manual states. That means figuring out a way to communicate your secret to the other team. The problem is, you’re not allowed to just say it. Ghosts can interact with the game only via text-based chat. They can type descriptions of their hauntings, share images and GIFs, link to songs and videos, and add new rooms to the house. Meanwhile, investigators are confined to Discord’s voice call …

Woman says she was shamed by a restaurant server for ordering a soup and a salad

Sign up to IndyEat’s free newsletter for weekly recipes, foodie features and cookbook releases Get our food and drink newsletter for free A woman has sparked a debate about restaurant etiquette after claiming that her server shamed her for ordering a soup and a salad. In a viral video posted to TikTok, user @ashleymkenney shared footage of her recent solo dining experience. The woman, who goes by Ash on the platform, filmed the food she’d ordered – a soup and a half eaten salad – on her table, placed next to her beverage and some complimentary bread. However, it appeared that the runner who had brought her the food was confused by the size of her order, considering Ash was dining alone. “Imagine you get a soup and salad and the food runner says, ‘These are both for you? You’re going to finish them both?’” she wrote over the video. “What do I say when she brings me out my 16oz steak…” In her caption, the TikToker clarified that the restaurant worker was “very sweet” …

Everything you need to know about the Microsoft Exchange Server hack

Everything you need to know about the Microsoft Exchange Server hack

Kena Betancur/VIEWpress/Getty Images Update 26.3.2024: While not on the same scale as 2021’s Microsoft Exchange Server hack (see below this update), security problems impacting Exchange Server have reemerged.  In March 2024’s monthly patch cycle, Microsoft resolved critical issues in software including HyperV and Exchange Server. These fixes follow the release of a 2024 H1 Cumulative Update for Exchange Server in February. The 2024 H1 Cumulative Update includes Extended Protection (EP) being enabled by default. EP is a Windows feature for protecting servers from man-in-the-middle (MiTM) attacks. The automatic inclusion of EP was first announced in 2023. Also: The best VPN services of 2024: Expert tested and reviewed The security upgrade can help resolve CVE-2024-21410, a privilege escalation vulnerability leading to NTLM relay attacks that impacts Exchange Server. This vulnerability is being actively exploited in the wild.  “An attacker could target an NTLM client such as Outlook with an NTLM credentials-leaking type vulnerability,” Microsoft says. “The leaked credentials can then be relayed against the Exchange server to gain privileges as the victim client and to perform operations on the Exchange server on …

Study Reveals The Simple Trick That Servers Use For Bigger Tips

Study Reveals The Simple Trick That Servers Use For Bigger Tips

It seems new research has emerged that can help restaurant servers secure larger tips, and it all starts with a smile. In a study published in February 2023 in the International Journal of Hospitality Management, it was discovered that servers who use a simple trick when delivering customers their checks can improve their chances of receiving tips. Study reveals servers can convince customers to tip more by drawing a smiley face. The research found that servers who add a smiley face on a bill can increase the average customer tip by a staggering 11%. A hand-drawn emoji seems to affect customers, and the largest increase in tips came from scenarios where multiple emojis were shown with suggested tip amounts. Neutral faces accompanied lower gratuities and, as the recommended percentage grew, so did the emojis’ cheek-splitting smiles. At full-service restaurants, the presence of emojis saw increases in the average tip go from 22.86% to 25.38% — an overall 11% relative increase. As for food delivery apps, like UberEats and DoorDash, the average tip jumped about 10%, from 14.66% to 16.11%. Takeout …
