The Left’s Reaction To Arrest Of The Latest UK Stabbing Is As Predictable As It Is Disgraceful

The Left’s Reaction To Arrest Of The Latest UK Stabbing Is As Predictable As It Is Disgraceful

Authored by Paul Birch via DailySceptic.org, These people have never been in a life-or-death situation like the arresting officers One would think that even when the police successfully detain a suspect who was alleged to have been conducting a marauding knife attack, the professional activists would have a day off. But you would be wrong. Amid all the ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ cliché bingo, voices of criticism were heard. Among them, the blue-tick career race-baiter Shola Mos-Shogbamimu. She was quick to take to X following yesterday’s attack on the Jewish community in Golders Green, north London. The 45 year-old suspect, a British national of Somali origin, had reportedly stabbed two Jewish men at random. The suspect – depressingly, inevitably – had previously been referred to the Government’s counter radicalisation programme, Prevent. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu criticised police officers who are shown kicking the suspect in the head while he is on the ground. She opined: Contemptible abuse of police power. Why kick him in the head several times when he’s already Tasered and in your control? Should he not …

Head teacher ‘overwhelmed’ by reaction after school minibus torched

A small Welsh primary school which was left devastated when two people stole their minibus and left it burnt out on a nearby mountain has been “overwhelmed” by donations. The school has now been able to buy a £23,000 bus thanks to the generosity of the local community. On Sunday, March 1, two people broke into St Joseph’s RC Primary School in Ashvale, Tredegar, in broad daylight and stole the bus which the school described as a “lifeline”. The next day it was found in Bogey Road in Merthyr Tydfil,. The engine had been stolen and it was completely burnt. The school has now been able to buy a modern 2023-plate minibus after a fundraiser set up by parents raised £6,627. For the biggest stories in Wales first sign up to our daily newsletter here. Crowd’s Reaction to BuzzFeed’s New AI App: Uncomfortable Laughter

Crowd’s Reaction to BuzzFeed’s New AI App: Uncomfortable Laughter

Sign up to see the future, today Can’t-miss innovations from the bleeding edge of science and tech BuzzFeed made an unfortunate announcement during its company’s earnings report last week, admitting that “there is substantial doubt about the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern” and that it was “actively exploring strategic options” to address its “liquidity challenges.” The company remains neck-deep in debt, reporting a net loss of $57.3 million for 2025 — and, by most indications, it has yet to successfully reinvent itself to stop hemorrhaging money. The report came roughly three years after BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti first announced that the company was doubling down on AI, news that was met with a mix of reactions, ranging from skepticism to outright disgust. Then, during this year’s SXSW in Austin, Texas, the company made good on Peretti’s threat to bring a slew of “AI apps” to market, the culmination of years of chasing uninspired AI slop and gutting its Pulitzer Prize-winning BuzzFeed News division. BuzzFeed execs showed off demos for two products under the umbrella …

Your microbiome may determine your risk of a severe allergic reaction

Your microbiome may determine your risk of a severe allergic reaction

The microbiomes in our gut and mouth may determine whether people with a peanut allergy develop a life-threatening reaction. This could help explain why some people with the allergy experience relatively mild reactions, while others develop severe, or even fatal, symptoms. “There’s a big question around why some patients are more susceptible to more severe reactions,” says Rodrigo Jiménez-Saiz at the Autonomous University of Madrid in Spain. Peanut allergy occurs when the immune system mistakenly identifies proteins in the legume as a threat, causing it to produce excessive amounts of a particular type of antibody. This ramps up inflammation, leading to symptoms such as itching, swelling and vomiting. In extreme cases, peanut exposure causes anaphylaxis, a life-threatening reaction that typically involves breathing difficulties. Jiménez-Saiz and his colleagues wondered whether the microbes that live on and within us play a role here, given the huge influence that our body’s various microbiomes have on our immune system. To find out, they inserted a small amount of peanut into the stomachs of three groups of mice without any …

Matthew Lillard says ‘beautiful’ reaction to Tarantino’s diss about him was ‘like living through your own wake’

Matthew Lillard says ‘beautiful’ reaction to Tarantino’s diss about him was ‘like living through your own wake’

Matthew Lillard couldn’t be more grateful for the overwhelming support he received from fans and peers defending him against Quentin Tarantino’s harsh criticism of his acting. Last month, the Oscar-winning director made headlines for saying he “didn’t care for” the Scream star, Paul Dano or Owen Wilson. All three instantly received an outpouring of love from within Hollywood. Lillard, 56, was defended by his The Life of Chuck director, Mike Flanigan, who labeled him “the goddamn greatest.” He was also recruited by Ryan Reynolds for a Mint Mobile commercial, in which the latter declared in a voiceover: “There are only two things that are universally loved: saving money and beloved actor Matthew Lillard.” “It was like living through your own wake,” Lillard told Entertainment Weekly of the tributes and support. “All those R.I.P. emails or tweets and Instagram posts and TikToks, all of the things we see after somebody passes are so sweet. And the reality is I just got to live through all of it firsthand — alive and kicking! I can’t imagine a …

Taylor Dearden on Mel’s Reaction to Langdon’s Rehab

[The following story contains spoilers through the second episode of The Pitt season two, “8:00 a.m.”] As Patrick Ball‘s Dr. Langdon has returned to the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center from a stint in rehab in The Pitt season two, viewers are likely watching how numerous characters are reacting to the disgraced doctor‘s return to the emergency department. While Noah Wyle’s Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch is still cold to Langdon, banishing him to triage and refusing to engage too much with his formerly trusted colleague after he discovered Langdon’s drug addiction and kicked him out of the hospital near the end of season one, Taylor Dearden’s Dr. Mel King greets Langdon with open arms — literally. When she first sees him, she shouts out his name and runs over to give him a hug, eager to welcome back the fellow physician with whom she appeared to develop a fast friendship on her own first day in the emergency department in season one. But while she seems excited to see him, it’s not until the second episode …

Senegal vs Sudan LIVE: AFCON result, latest updates and reaction after Pape Gueye inspires comeback

Senegal continued their quest to reclaim the Africa Cup of Nations title on Saturday as they came from behind to beat Sudan in the round of 16. The match was the Lions’ to lose as they faced Sudan, making their debut in the AFCON knockout stages, and they did stumble in the early stages as Aamir Abdallah opened the scoring after just six minutes, bending a lovely strike well beyond the reach of Edouard Mendy. But Senegal did not trail for long, quickly coming back as Pape Gueye levelled the score and put the Lions of Teranga back in front deep in first-half stoppage time. Source link
