Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves spun off the track as he made his professional motor racing debut at a famous US circuit. The star spun on to the grass without crashing as he competed in the Toyota GR Cup at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday. Reeves, 60, came off the track on the exit of turn nine, a little over halfway through the 45-minute race, but got back on and continued driving, signalling that he wasn’t hurt. As pro-Palestinian student protesters took over a building at Columbia University in New York City early Tuesday, one person in the crowd outside stood out — a gray-haired woman who delivered orders to young people helping to barricade a door. “Tie it right to the lock,” she told two masked protesters holding zip ties, according to video posted on social media. The protesters did as they were told, using the ties on a metal table pressed against the door of Hamilton Hall.  “Let’s give them a little cover,” the older woman told the crowd. “Cameras back. Cameras back.” The woman was not a Columbia University student or faculty member. Mike Tyson’s fight with Jake Paul has been sanctioned as a professional boxing match by Texas authorities. It means it will appear on their official record but will be shorter than most pro fights, taking place over eight two-minute rounds. The gloves will also be more padded at 14oz, rather than the 10oz normally used. There had been speculation over the rules of the fight, and whether it would just be an exhibition match, given the age gap between 57-year-old Tyson and Paul, 27. Some have also raised health concerns, with worries Tyson’s punching power could seriously injure his less experienced opponent. Training videos have shown the US fighter pounding the punch bag with his trademark ferocity.
