Princess Diana used to escape Kensington Palace to hand out money to sex workers and check in on the homeless at the dead of night, a former royal press secretary has claimed. The Princess felt it was a duty she “had to do,” while also passing the boredom and loneliness, according to Dickie Arbiter. He worked as her and Charles’ press secretary from 1988 until Diana’s funeral in 1997, taking them through their public separation and divorce. Now aged 86, Arbiter said that Diana was “desperate to find things to do” in the evenings. While she entertained at lunch, she was often at a loss at night, and she felt lonely because her friends had to jump through security hoops to see her, he said. Princess Charlotte has a new pen pal in the form of an eager royal fan from Ilminster. When Prince William was in Somerset town for a royal engagement, a schoolgirl presented the father-of-three with a letter to pass on to his 11-year-old daughter, Charlotte.  After shaking hands with William and handing over her handwritten note, the sweet child explained that she had asked Charlotte “a few questions” in the letter. The queries were her favourite colour, age, and what school she goes to. The little one’s mother also explained that they had waited around an hour to greet the royal and she had taken her daughter out of school for the unique opportunity. Princess Eugenie has returned to Instagram to celebrate a special occasion. Sultan of Brunei’s sister-in-law Princess Zariah passes away after title-stripping controversy

The Sultan of Brunei‘s sister-in-law, Princess Zariah, has passed away.  The royal, who was married to Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and was Queen Saleha’s sister, died on 6 October, the Royal Court revealed on Friday. She leaves behind ten children. An announcement read: “The Office of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah announced that Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Zariah binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, the wife of Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 5.43pm.” A funeral service was held the day after Princess Zariah’s death, as is Islamic tradition.  Queen Saleha was joined by the Sultan at the Royal Mausoleum to bid farewell to the beloved royal, pouring ceremonial water known as air asah-asahan over her tomb. Following a procession to the Mausoleum, a solemn farewell was held with religious rites.
