Legendary Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka, who led the team to its only Super Bowl victory in 1986, has died, his family announced. He was 86. “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka,” the family said in a statement Friday that did not include a cause of death. “While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family,” the statement said. “Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.” The Bears released a statement saying Ditka’s impact on the team as “a player, coach, and proud icon and ambassador for our organization, is immeasurable.” Ditka, the statement said, “created a lifetime of cherished memories in the hearts and minds of Bears fans that will last for generations.” Ditka, who was inducted into the pro football Hall of Fame in 1988, was remembered by the organization’s president Jim …

Flanagan and his writing team are taking Carrie in a new direction for this miniseries. Carrie is one of King’s shortest books, so this new adaptation will expand on the source material. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Flanagan explained, “Typically, when you’re adapting a Stephen King book, the mission is completely different. It’s about, How do you make it smaller? […] This was the complete inverse. Mike White revealed during the Survivor 50 finale on Wednesday night that his fellow players, Charlie Davis and Kamilla Karthigesu, will be featured on the fourth season of The White Lotus. The Emmy Award winner called into the live finale episode as he’s currently in France shooting for the upcoming installment. More footage of the years-long dynamic between New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and former NFL reporter Dianna Russini is coming to light with a video of the pair taking a private boat trip five years ago. Vrabel and Russini — who was pregnant with her first child at the time —  were captured walking together on a dock before getting on a boat that they had privately rented for two to three hours in Putnam County, Tennessee, in June 2021, according to TMZ. The pair were dressed casually for the outing, which took place while Russini was reporting for ESPN and doing a story on the Tennessee Titans, where Vrabel was head coach at the time. Two months later, Russini gave birth to her first son with husband Kevin Goldschmidt. Vrabel posed for pictures with employees at the boat rental company, but reportedly asked them not to share pictures from the day because he “wanted to enjoy a private weekend,” TMZ previously reported. Dianna Russini, the NFL reporter at the heart of a relationship scandal with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel, has deactivated her X account after intimate new photos of the pair surfaced Thursday. Earlier this month, photos published by PageSix showed the pair holding hands at an Arizona resort. Both Russini, 43, and Vrabel, 50, are married to other people. After initially downplaying the photos, Russini resigned from her post at The Athletic after the publication launched an investigation into her relationship with Vrabel. First Footage Revealed for Mike Flanagan’s DC Studios Movie

Clayface took form at CinemaCon during Warner Bros.‘ presentation. DC Studios boss Peter Safran took the stage in Las Vegas on Tuesday to reveal the first, action-packed footage from the film. The chilling footage, which did not include any dialogue, opens with a seemingly disfigured man with bloodied bandages covering his face. A montage of moments flashes back to show what led to this moment. The final scene features titular character, played by Tom Rhys Harries, using his hand to wipe his face clean and reveal a completely blank look. Clayface is described as a horror film with a relatively trim budget of $40 million. It centers on the Batman villain known for the ability to shape-shift. Horror maestro Mike Flanagan penned the script, with See No Evil director James Watkins directing and Harries starring. The character dates back to 1940 in the comics.
