Jamie Chung and Bryan Greenberg said they lost what “was supposed to be our forever home” in the Los Angeles wildfires. The couple took to Instagram on Friday to share a video of the devastation left behind after flames tore through their neighborhood. In the footage, their home could be seen brought down to ash and rubble. “Was supposed to be our forever home, but nothing lasts forever,” they wrote in the joint post’s cation. “Thankfully our family is safe, however other LA fire victims aren’t as fortunate. Please donate to them if you can.” Greenberg, who is best known for his roles in How to Make It in America, Emperor of Ocean Park and Bride Wars, previously shared his appreciation on his Instagram Story Wednesday for his friends and loved ones checking in on his family. “It was all a dream,” he also wrote on a photo, which appeared to be the ruins of their home. “Thankfully the family is safe. In my neighborhood—a mobile-home park on the western side of Malibu—the power and gas have been out for days, and cell service is intermittent at best. If I drive to the right vantage points, I can see the Palisades Fire and Kenneth Fire—two of the five major fires blazing across Los Angeles—but they are still far away. My home is not in a mandatory evacuation zone or even a warning zone. It is, or is supposed to be, safe. Yet my family’s phones keep blaring with evacuation notices, as they move in and out of service. As far as I can tell, these notices have all been in error. Earlier today, Kevin McGowan, the director of Los Angeles County’s emergency-management office, acknowledged at a press conference that officials knew alerts like these had gone out, acknowledged some of them were wrong, and still had no idea why, or how to keep it from happening again. Netflix is not holding back when it comes to the return of Squid Game, the streamer’s biggest show of all time, as it held an immersive premiere and fan event in Los Angeles on Thursday. Los Angeles City College’s athletic field was converted into a recreation of the games, featuring the iconic “Red Light, Green Light” (with accompanying giant doll), set-inspired photo opps and a seemingly endless number of pink guards wandering the premises.
