Prince Harry ‘Hurt and Disappointed’ About Not Seeing King Charles During UK Trip: Royal Expert (Exclusive)

Prince Harry ‘Hurt and Disappointed’ About Not Seeing King Charles During UK Trip: Royal Expert (Exclusive)

Prince Harry isn’t spending time with his family while across the pond. The Duke of Sussex is currently in the UK for a ceremony to mark the 10-year anniversary of his Invictus Games, and despite having time in his schedule, he will not get an audience with his father, King Charles III, or brother Prince William during his visit. “He hasn’t got many other plans,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET of the duke. “He was, of course, hoping to see his family. Possibly that’s why the trip was three days… but as we now know, there will be no family meetings.” Prince Harry attends The Invictus Games Foundation 10th Anniversary Service at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 in London, England. – Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images Likewise, no royal family members stepped out to attend Harry’s event, which paints a stark contrast to when he launched the Games a decade ago. “When you look at the inaugural Invictus Games back in 2014… he had support from his father and from Prince William,” Nicholl said. “… You could …

Prince Harry Celebrates 10 Years of the Invictus Games Without King Charles or Prince William

King Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment, is carrying out engagements under the guidance of his medical team and has been urged not to take on too much. However, a family friend said that Harry would be hurt by his father not making time for him. “It feels very much like a snub. Harry is rarely in Britain and when he does come over he obviously wants to see his father. He doesn’t know when he will next be here and he is very worried about his papa and desperately wanted to see him.” It is understood the two men have spoken on the phone since Harry has been back in the UK. When the King was diagnosed with cancer, he phoned his son personally, prompting Harry to fly to Britain immediately. Charles made adjustments to his schedule so that he could see his son before traveling to Sandringham to recuperate. Nevertheless, Charles, who had an audience at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday and will visit the Royal School of Military Engineering in Surrey on Thursday, has no free time to …

Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful Celebrated King Charles and His Charity Legacy in Manhattan

Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful Celebrated King Charles and His Charity Legacy in Manhattan

On Thursday night, one of King Charles III’s most significant legacies was being celebrated at Casa Cipriani in downtown Manhattan, even though the guest of honor was across the pond. In the months after last year’s coronation, the foundation the king started in 1976 changed its name to the King’s Trust, and for the second year in a row, hosts Lionel Richie and Edward Enninful assembled a bi-continental crowd to celebrate its recent expansion into the US. Richie told Vanity Fair he was sad the king couldn’t make it, but they spoke earlier this week. “How happy I am that I can say he is doing fantastic again,” said Richie, who arrived with his partner, Lisa Parigi. “I understand he needs to sit still, you know what I’m saying? The most important part is he is doing well, he’s back to his duties. Therefore I wouldn’t want the first thing for him to do is to come over to make this event. Let’s not prove anything here! But we are here to represent. We’re going to …

King Charles and Niece Zara Tindall Share Sweet Hug at Royal Windsor Horse Show

King Charles III made a surprise appearance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday, greeting niece Zara Tindall with a sweet hug. Charles was all smiles at the event, despite the pouring rain. It’s his third public-facing engagement in four days since his return to royal duties this week. His revamped schedule has been lightened while he undergoes treatment for an unspecified form of cancer, a diagnosis he shared in early February. The Royal Windsor Horse Show was a favorite event of Charles’s late mother, Queen Elizabeth, and one that she made frequent appearances at in her life. Zara, daughter of Charles’s sister Princess Anne, is a former Olympic equestrian for Britain, and has spoken of the love of horses she shared with the late queen, calling the hobby their mutual “happy place.” “I remember being around horses a lot when we used to go and see her,” she said in an interview in December 2023 to mark a year since her grandmother’s death. “She rode; grandfather was also involved with the horses, whether …

Prince William Shares Kate Middleton Cancer Health Update

Prince William Shares Kate Middleton Cancer Health Update

Prince William shared a brief update about Kate Middleton and the couple’s three children on Tuesday. Since the surprise announcement in late March that Kate had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, the princess of Wales’s plea for “time, space, and privacy” for herself and her family has been largely respected, in contrast to the flurry of speculation surrounding her whereabouts before the news was made public. Kensington Palace has not provided updates on Kate’s health, but on Tuesday, William indicated that the family was well. While on a visit to northeast England, where he made stops in support of environmental and mental wellness initiatives, William was greeted by two bystanders draped with the Union Jack, a moment captured in a video shared to social media. “Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?” one well-wisher asks in the clip. “We’re all doing well, thank you,” William said. “And obviously Catherine?” the person pressed. “We’re all doing well,” William reiterated. Tuesday’s outing was William’s third day of official engagements …

King Charles Calls Cancer Diagnosis a “Bit of a Shock”

King Charles III resumed his public duties on Tuesday with a visit to a cancer treatment center, where he met with patients and staff before heading to an appointment to be treated for his own illness. During his appearance at the Macmillan Cancer Centre at University College Hospital in central London, Charles, a new patron of the charitable organization Cancer Research UK, shared that it was “a bit of a shock to be diagnosed with cancer.” When a patient asked how he was, Charles answered, “Not too bad.” King Charles meets with patient Asha Millan during a visit to the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre on April 30, 2024 in London, England.
