15 Signs You’re Dating A Kerouac Narcissist (The Worst Kind Of Narcissist), According To Psychology

15 Signs You’re Dating A Kerouac Narcissist (The Worst Kind Of Narcissist), According To Psychology

In the creative world, I’ve learned that there are often two different types of artists: real ones, and narcissists who claim to be “artists.” I call the latter Kerouac Narcissists, and believe it or not, there are a lot of them.  Kerouac Narcissists are often the reason why people warn others against dating musicians, painters, actors, and writers — and the reasons behind those warnings are warranted. They often see other people as “props” in the grand American novel that is their life, and that means that they will often treat them as such. In almost all interpersonal relationships, those with this type of narcissism are insanely toxic and damaging to others. It’s not uncommon for a Kerouac Narcissist to bully others they deem “too uncool to be part of their clique,” nor is it uncommon for them to romance a girl, “get inspired” by another woman/lifestyle, then bail. On the podcast today; a fantastic finish from Mattia Zaccagni sees Italy progress ahead of Croatia. It wasn’t a particularly thrilling game of football but Italy ultimately got the job done. New Mom Upset Her Husband Went Golfing On Mother’s Day

New Mom Upset Her Husband Went Golfing On Mother’s Day

Who is Mother’s Day really for? Is it for your mom who raised you, that aunt who made sure you had a motherly figure in your life, or the spouse who just had a baby? Maybe it’s all, none of them, or just one? New mothers, grandparents, and even partners have weighed in on the debate. While many argue there’s a clear line between “right and wrong” in policing Mother’s Day celebrations, many admit they usually just go with the flow. It’s exactly what Jacky Bertholomey‘s husband did — he went with the flow. Unfortunately, it took him to the golf course with his friends on Mother’s Day.  Bertholomey was upset after her husband decided to golf on Mother’s Day. In a shadily hostile TikTok from May 8 — just four days out from Mother’s Day — Bertholomey reflected back on her first holiday as a new mom.  RELATED: Mom Claims Mother’s Day Is ‘A Scam’ & Says She’d ‘Happily Trade Brunch For Paid Family Leave’ Anticipating a card or maybe breakfast in bed, when …

Wife Says She Stays In Bed All Day To Avoid Being Mean To Her Good Guy Husband

Wife Says She Stays In Bed All Day To Avoid Being Mean To Her Good Guy Husband

Divorce is often framed as a failure of two people to repair a broken relationship, yet really, it’s a valid way to end a marriage that’s no longer working for any given reason.  Whether a divorce is rooted in infidelity, a growing lack of communication, or just distance between two people that became too wide to cross, no one should have to stay in a relationship where they feel unsafe or unfulfilled. A woman says she stays in bed all day to avoid being mean to her ‘good guy’ husband, whom she doesn’t know how to divorce. Casie Grier recorded herself speaking openly and vulnerably about a topic that’s often swept under the rug: What does it mean when you want to get divorced from someone who’s a good person? “Can we talk about how hard it is to leave the good guy?” Grier asked, tears in her eyes. I Was Sexually Assaulted Today — Again | Lisa S. Lawless

I Was Sexually Assaulted Today — Again | Lisa S. Lawless

In a time when topics like rape culture, sexual assault, and sexually inappropriate behavior are so prevalent in the media — it is no surprise that I was just sexually assaulted. Again. A man called my company over the weekend while our business was closed. He kept calling our office number over and over, so I decided to answer his call as I happened to be working in the office this weekend. After all, it is not uncommon for me to work seven days a week as a woman who owns her own business. I am someone who is quite educated in the areas of rape, sexual abuse, and assault through my training as a mental health therapist. I used to be a Rape Crisis Counselor who not only counseled and helped rape victims but also lectured about rape, sexual abuse, and assault. I have also counseled sexually abused adolescent girls in a group home and helped them as they dealt with the violation, anger, and grief they experienced. I also have vast experience in self-defense training through martial arts, shooting guns, and basic preventative …

Woman Breaks Up With Her Boyfriend After He Asked Her To Become A Tradwife

Woman Breaks Up With Her Boyfriend After He Asked Her To Become A Tradwife

After a couple agreed to focus on their relationship and individual careers before having kids, it came as a big surprise when the woman’s boyfriend revealed a sudden change of heart and suggested his girlfriend give up her career and become a tradwife. Some women would love the opportunity to be stay-at-home moms and embrace “traditional” roles. However, this woman isn’t one of them. She found it particularly insolent that her so-called partner didn’t even consider her opinion on the matter. The woman broke up with her boyfriend on the spot and wished him luck in finding his tradwife. She later took to Reddit’s r/AmIOverreacting forum to explain the context and ask if her reaction was too harsh. She stated that she and her boyfriend are both 26, college-educated, goal-oriented, and career-focused. They had been dating for three years and mutually agreed to wait until their 30s — when they would ideally be married and in a more stable position — to have their first child. All in all, this was a wise plan, considering …

Sheridan Smith Opens Up About ‘Heartbreak’ Over Her Latest West End Show Closing Early

Sheridan Smith has spoken of her “heartbreak” about the early closure of her current show Opening Night, and shared her concerns she “let down” her colleagues. The two-time Olivier winner is currently starring in a new musical adaptation of the 1977 film Opening Night, about an actor gearing up for a new play while enduring personal and professional struggles. While the show itself was critically panned, and ticket sales have reportedly been low, Sheridan’s performance was more well-received in reviews for the show. However, it was eventually announced Opening Night would be closing two months earlier than planned, which its leading star has taken to heart. Sheridan Smith on stage in Opening Night Dave Benett via Getty Images In a new interview with The Times, Sheridan apparently began to cry while discussing the show’s closure, saying: “I was just heartbroken for the company. I felt that I’d let them down in a way, that I couldn’t sell it.” “This has been very cathartic for me,” she added of the show. “It’s been like therapy, and …

Woman’s Birthday Ruined By Boyfriend’s Cruel Prank

Woman’s Birthday Ruined By Boyfriend’s Cruel Prank

A woman admitted that she doesn’t know how she will be able to trust her boyfriend moving forward after he ruined her birthday.  Posting to the subreddit r/relationship_advice, the 25-year-old assumed her birthday surprise would be one thing, but it turned out to be something completely different. She said her boyfriend ‘ruined’ her birthday with a horrible and cruel prank. In her Reddit post, she explained that she’s been with her fiancé for three years and always considered him a sweet and thoughtful partner. He never did anything that hurt her feelings or made her feel bad about herself, and she genuinely loved him and saw a bright and loving future with him. However, all of that changed. She admitted that one thing they always talked about was moving into a nice house. She always assumed she’d have a say in the place they would eventually buy together, but he came to her and confided that he’d found the perfect place for them and that it would be her birthday surprise. Of all the topics regarding relationships, perhaps the trickiest subjects to cover are those that pertain to relationships ending. The Real Reason Breakups Are So Difficult

Going through a breakup is one of the toughest feelings in the world, especially when it blinds you. And you’re often left wondering, “Why? Why did this happen, and why is it so hard to move on from?” If this sounds like you, know that you’re not alone in asking these questions. But luckily, psychologist Dr. Aria Campbell Danesh has some insights into why breakups hit us so hard. The Real Reason Breakups Are So Difficult “What people don’t understand about heartbreak is the grief,” says Danesh. You’re not just losing a person or your best friend; you’re losing the future you created together. “You lose the imagined family that you thought you would have, or this idea of growing old together,” explains Danesh. This can throw our minds into a tangled mess of confusion Now, you have to figure out a future that doesn’t involve that person. Now you have to rewire your brain to no longer care. And as Danesh explains, “And there’s something profound about sharing your daily life with someone.” To …
