Lady Gaga Surprised Her Little Monsters With a Pop-Music Funeral at The Grove

Lady Gaga Surprised Her Little Monsters With a Pop-Music Funeral at The Grove

After the procession ended, invitees were shuttled into multiple theaters. Each seat was topped with a Mayhem-inspired zine, designed by Rose Zhang, a senior art director at Apple Music. “The art direction of the campaign followed the Gothic tone of her stage design,” says Zhang. “This quote from Lady Gaga really inspired me: ‘What if we were to lock the set away after we were done with the last show, and over hundreds of years, it fell apart, and some little monster from the future found it—or made an art piece out of it?’” A few minutes later, a woman came into the theater and yelled, “Everyone take their seats”—interrupting the Little Monsters, mostly dressed in all black, who were conducting photoshoots in front of the black screen displaying Zhang’s art. And then Lady Gaga herself unexpectedly came in to introduce the movie. “What if we tore the album down and we completely put it back together and reimagined the music in a new way,” Gaga said to the crowd in a hushed, shy register. …

The Dollar’s Funeral Keeps Getting Rescheduled

The Dollar’s Funeral Keeps Getting Rescheduled

Authored by Lance Roberts via RealInvestmentAdvice.com, 💰 The Dollar’s Funeral Nobody Attended Open any finance corner of social media this week, and you will be hit with some version of the same obituary. ZeroHedge declared in December that the dollar’s death in 2026 is now a mainstream talking point, citing a WIRED piece arguing that this is the year “dollar dilution” truly accelerates. A widely circulated Dollar Collapse post this month warned that foreign demand for Treasuries is fading and that the greenback is losing its safe-haven status “in a generation.” WatcherGuru ran a headline last fall declaring rapid de-dollarization is happening right now, while YouTube personalities brandish century-long purchasing-power charts preaching gold and Bitcoin as salvation. The story writes itself: investors positioning capital today need to decide how much survives contact with the data. To be fair, there is enough truth in the narrative to keep it alive. The DXY has retraced roughly 10% from its early-2025 peak near 103.5. The IMF’s COFER data shows the dollar’s share of global FX reserves has slipped from 73% in 2001 to around 58% today. Central banks purchased 863 tonnes of gold …

‘Flat-pack’ coffins, DIY flowers and unpaid bills: Inside Robert Bush’s ‘nightmare’ funeral home in Hull | UK News

‘Flat-pack’ coffins, DIY flowers and unpaid bills: Inside Robert Bush’s ‘nightmare’ funeral home in Hull | UK News

To grieving families and colleagues, Hull funeral director Robert Bush seemed a “nice guy”. But behind closed doors, he was cutting corners financially, providing sub-standard coffins and DIY flowers to the bereaved, and funeral staff were refusing to work with him over unpaid bills. Sky News has spoken to a celebrant who worked closely with Bush, 48, for several years. On Thursday, the funeral director pleaded guilty to 30 counts of preventing a lawful burial. The woman, who we are calling Sarah, was contracted by him to lead funeral services. She’s agreed to speak anonymously – she still works in the funeral sector in Hull and says there are “repercussions” for any association with Bush. During an hour-long interview, Sarah described Bush as “a bit of a cheeky chappy”. “We got on well,” she says, describing the funeral director as “very polite, well-spoken, very empathetic and generally a nice guy”. “I think that’s what makes everything that’s happened since so disgusting.” But Sarah says she grew increasingly concerned at what was happening at Legacy Independent …
