Parsons and Bialik, who play Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler, previously confirmed they would feature in The Big Bang Theory spin-off’s final episode, which airs later this month. Both actors have previously narrated episodes of Young Sheldon, which focuses on the exploits of neurodivergent physicist Sheldon in his youth (played by Iain Armitage). However, the finale will be the first time fans see Sheldon and Amy’s life together after The Big Bang Theory ended in 2019. In the first-look images, Sheldon and Amy are older than when the characters last appeared in The Big Bang Theory, five years ago. The highly anticipated series finale of Young Sheldon is drawing near, and fans are getting their first glimpse of  Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik back in action as Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler. This marks the first on-screen reunion of the beloved duo since The Big Bang Theory bid farewell to audiences in May 2019. The dragon stirs to life as Toby Olié plucks it up by its tail. He spirals it through the air and, quick as ripping off a plaster, tears the creature in two. “Even when he was curled up on the floor,” the puppet designer says, undoing another of the dragon’s joints, “he took up too much space.” Olié sticks the body back together, a little shorter but more malleable now, and the tail wriggles back into being. Best known for his work on War Horse, Olié is holding a miniature prototype for Haku, a boy who transforms into an enormous serpentine dragon. Haku is one of the leading characters in Hayao Miyazaki’s exquisite animation Spirited Away, which has been adapted into a major stage production. For the last four years, the creative team have been conjuring, tweaking and perfecting Miyazaki’s world of gods and monsters in three dimensions. Gavin & Stacey will return for what’s been billed as its last ever episode this Christmas. In their exciting announcement, the pair were seen holding a script for what was billed as “the finale” of Gavin & Stacey, set to air on Christmas Day. Back in February, Deadline was the first to report that a brand new reunion special for the Bafta-winning sitcom would be airing on the BBC over the festive period. The US media outlet claimed that the “majority of the main cast” will come together over the summer to film a new one-off episode, which would once again be written by James and Ruth, who also star as fan-favourite characters Smithy and Nessa.
