Actress ‘shell-shocked’ when asked to ‘bend further’ while filming with Noel Clarke, court hears | UK News

An actress who worked in a film directed by Noel Clarke said she felt “shell-shocked” when he asked her to “bend over further” during a scene where she was naked from the waist down, the High Court has heard. The woman, known only as Mila, gave evidence on Thursday in Clarke’s legal case against Guardian News and Media (GNM). Mila told the court that although she felt uncomfortable about filming the nude scene, she needed the work. In her witness statement, she said: “Noel was telling me to bend over, repeating things like ‘bend over further, come on’, and ‘do it properly’. “I was clearly very uncomfortable and resisting doing this, I was doing the strip tease as requested and this extra request did not feel necessary. “He repeated these comments until I bent over further and further until I was bent completely over with my bum in the air.” Read more from Sky News:How has Trump – the ‘dealmaker’ – done on foreign policy?Jack Draper: The 6ft 4in British left-hander with tennis in his …

Ashley Park Reveals Why She Misses Taco Bell While Filming ‘Emily in Paris’ and Her High-Low Fashion Tips

When Ashley Park heads to Paris, France to film Netflix’s Emily in Paris, the crepes, croissants have nothing on her favorite comfort food. Instead, the actress, 33, misses Taco Bell the most during her time abroad in The City of Love.  “I have high hopes for a Taco Bell in Paris soon,” she tells ET after hosting the second annual Live Más LIVE summit at the Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York on March 4, where over 30 bold menu innovations were revealed for 2025. Ashley Park/Instagram “We’ve been lucky to enjoy some incredible meals together as a cast in Paris, and whenever I’m hosting, I always wish I could place a huge Taco Bell order to feed my guests. After a few weeks of delicious French cheeses and charcuterie, I have a sudden craving for the taste of Taco Bell, especially after I wrap late nights after a long day on set,” she continues.  Her go-to order: “Chalupa Supreme all the way, or honestly, any of the chalupas have always been a staple for …

Hugh Grant Insists He Was Only Joking About Hating Filming Wonka

Hugh Grant Insists He Was Only Joking About Hating Filming Wonka

Hugh Grant has admitted that having his words twisted in the online media is one of the main reasons he “loathes” the internet. During a new interview with Variety, the Heretic star recalled his recent appearance in the screen musical Wonka, in which he played an especially straight-talking Oompa Loompa. While promoting the film, he and his colleagues were asked how they found the experience of making it. “Everyone said, ‘Yes, we loved it. We loved it. We loved it’, and when they got to me, just for a comedy moment at the end, I said, ‘I hated it’,” he explained. “But on the web, it’s become a fact that I hated making that film,” Hugh continued. “And I didn’t hate it all; I loved making it. I’m absolutely thrilled with it.” He then lamented: “That’s what the internet does. It scrubs humour, and it scrubs context to create little clickbait moments. It’s one of the reasons I loathe it with such violence, really.” These characters have included a right-leaning historian in Netflix’s Death To… …

Sean Wilson: Coronation Street star ‘steps down from filming for personal reasons’ after plans to reappear in Martin Platt role | Ents & Arts News

Sean Wilson will not reprise his role as Martin Platt on Coronation Street as previously announced, ITV has confirmed. The actor, who last appeared on the cobbles six years ago, was set to reappear on screen in October as part of the departure storyline of his character’s ex-wife, Gail Platt. It comes following a previous announcement that Helen Worth was to leave the ITV soap after starring as Gail for 50 years. “Sean Wilson has stepped down from filming for personal reasons,” a spokesperson for ITV confirmed on Friday. An initial announcement said Wilson was to start filming scenes on July 24, with a storyline featuring his on-screen son David (Jack P Shepherd) shocked to find his father at the house and immediately suspicious about his return to their lives. The Sun reported Wilson was summoned to a meeting at ITV’s offices and never returned to the set. Wilson previously said it was great to be invited to “contribute to Helen’s exit story”, describing his return to the character as “slipping on an old and …

Woman issues warning after discovering what neighbour was filming her doing in the garden | UK | News

Everyone has an expectation of privacy in their own home. But for one mum she discovered this had been “violated” after her neighbour’s CCTV camera was angled directly into her back garden.  The anonymous Mumsnet user said she was left stunned when she mistakenly found out that the house next door had been recording her garden and hot tub. Her post on Mumsnet prompted a flurry of concerned responses from fellow posters. It read: “I found this out by accident, I don’t think I was ever meant to know. Anyway, I knew my neighbour had CCTV installed, and recently found out that it covers all of my driveway and a lot of my garden. “I’ve even heard/seen the camera swivel when I was in the hot tub! Pretty sure that’s not allowed. But I’ve more recently found out, that their CCTV also records sound, even the teeniest noise is picked up. “On a rare day off, I’ve had what I thought were private conversations with friends in the top corner of my garden, when everyone …

Speaking at the DGA Theater Complex for Netflix’s FYC screening and panel for the limited series on Tuesday night, along with actors Jessica Gunning and Nava Mau, director Weronika Tofilska, and editor Peter Oliver, Gadd described going into an “obsessive place” while writing the series and the toll filming his sexual assault took on him and the crew. “We did close the set, but I was looking over and you’d see the props guys wiping tears from their eyes as they would be putting the props back how they should be,” Gadd recalled about filming episode 4, which features a graphic portrayal of sexual violence as Donny is groomed and later abused by an older and successful TV writer he meets at the Edinburgh Fringe …

Andy Cohen Addresses ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Taking a Break From Filming

Andy Cohen is speaking out about the decision to put Vanderpump Rules on hold for season 12. During a live episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, host Andy Cohen addressed the decision to pause production on the hit reality show. The show, known for its drama and intrigue centered around the staff of Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants, has decided to take a hiatus from filming, prompting fan speculation. Co-host John Hill broached the topic during the show, asking Cohen about the decision to halt production and give the cast a break. Cohen, known for his role in producing the Real Housewives franchise, clarified that he is not directly involved in Vanderpump Rules production.  Cohen acknowledged the benefits of taking a break from filming, drawing parallels to his experience with the Real Housewives series.  “I think that, you know, I was talking to Ariana [Madix] about this on the after-show last night,” Cohen said. “I was saying, people do forget, especially as it relates to Ariana, who was the one cheated on. People forget that we picked …

Timothy Olyphant on the Status of ‘Justified,’ Reuniting With Walton Goggins, and Filming ‘Alien’

Timothy Olyphant on the Status of ‘Justified,’ Reuniting With Walton Goggins, and Filming ‘Alien’

There are interviews, and then there are interviews with Timothy Olyphant. This reminder arrives rather quickly as we settle in for a discussion ostensibly centered on the acclaimed revival of his hit FX series Justified, subtitled City Primeval, and the Emmy buzz surrounding it and his performance. On this week’s Little Gold Men (listen or read below), Olyphant proves far less interested in campaign-friendly sound bites. He’d rather just shoot the shit a bit and see where the conversation takes us. So that’s what we do. A veteran screen actor who broke out in HBO’s Emmy-winning Deadwood, Olyphant is coming off of an impressive doubleheader this season, between the welcome return of Raylan Givens in the new Justified and his expertly suave turn in Steven Soderbergh’s Max mystery, Full Circle. We chat about both shows. He’s speaking from Los Angeles, on a brief break from shooting Noah Hawley’s upcoming Alien series in Thailand. We chat about that too. Olyphant may joke that he’s reached his ceiling in terms of acting ability, but the fact is …

Context is vital. That’s why I’m filming everything I say and do from now on | Stewart Lee

Context is vital. That’s why I’m filming everything I say and do from now on | Stewart Lee

The terrible massacre of innocent Israelis by sadistic Hamas agents on 7 October last year has set in motion a dreadful chain of events, exploited by bad faith actors on all sides to sow division and hate. Last week the campaigner Gideon Falter tenaciously stage-managed a confrontation with the Metropolitan police by demanding to walk through a peace demonstration at a non-designated crossing point. Why did Gideon Falter cross the road? Was it to emerge with evidence that Jewish people were under threat, and that the police were racist? Or was it because he was stapled to the person he had filming him? Falter’s 55-second framing of his confrontation with the police emerged on Friday 19 April, before anyone had properly looked at an illuminating 13-minute clip Sky was sitting on that compromised his account. But it was too late. Suella Braverman, who’d done no research as usual, was already saying Sir Mark Rowley should resign as police commissioner. The usually reliable shoot first and ask questions later approach backfires again. Don’t get me wrong. …

Robert Downey Jr: Filming Oppenheimer Was Like ‘Picking Fly S**t Out Of Pepper’

Robert Downey Jr: Filming Oppenheimer Was Like ‘Picking Fly S**t Out Of Pepper’

Following his Oscar win for his performance in Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. has likened acting in the historical drama to “picking fly s**t out of pepper”. In an Esquire interview published online last week, Robert explained how filming the US miniseries The Sympathizer helped him “unwind” from the rigour of his work on Christopher Nolan’s 2023 movie. “I knew that playing Strauss, in Oppenheimer, was going to be like picking fly shit out of pepper—that it was going to be extremely exacting, that it was going to be… not confining, but liberating by its varied implicit limitations of what my usual toolbox is,” he said. In Oppenheimer, Robert portrays Atomic Energy Commission member Lewis Strauss, the nemesis of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. Meanwhile, he plays multiple roles in The Sympathizer, which US broadcaster HBO describes as an “espionage thriller and cross-culture satire” based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel. In a W Magazine interview published online in January, the former Marvel actor said that playing Strauss was “counterintuitive for me”. “I know that we’re all mixtures …
