Skelly plays Martha Schmitt, a 24-year-old MI6 deep-cover agent in East Berlin, where her identity is under constant threat of exposure. The official synopsis describes how Martha “tries her hardest to avoid detection by Friedrich, the new Stasi Head of Counterespionage against British Targets, Berlin Office”. “Finding herself caught between Friedrich and the reckless, arrogant (and incredibly attractive…) CIA operative Aaron Neeland (posing as Kurt Fischer), she is blind-sided by desire in this Cold War menage-a-trois.” Rory Kinnear as Graham Anderson. BBC Sally Woodward Gentle, executive producer for Sid Gentle Films Ltd said: “Everyone says that they couldn’t be more excited by the cast …

Scientist Eve Mérinville Says ‘Skincare Isn’t a Math Competition’ and Why Less Can Equal More

Skincare meets science! Eve Mérinville is known for taking a research-backed, biological approach to beauty. But while science has a permanent place in her skincare routine, the numbers don’t always tell the whole story. Comfort Zone In fact, when it comes to achieving a healthy glow, Mérinville believes doing less can actually deliver more. “People are often paying a premium for complexity: long routines, trend-led launches, and formulas packed with a very high number of active ingredients. But more ingredients, more steps, and a higher price don’t automatically lead to better results,” she tells ET. “We’re also seeing an arms race around percentages of a particular ingredient, as if a higher concentration were automatically better, but skincare isn’t a math competition. The highest percentage isn’t necessarily the most effective. … Ultimately, great skincare isn’t about having the biggest number on the label. … Sometimes, a higher concentration can simply mean a greater risk of irritation, rather than better results,” she adds. Comfort Zone Instead of piling on the products, Mérinville, Comfort Zone’s R&D Innovation and …

ISIS issues chilling statement on 9/11 eve that battle with US ‘far from over’ | World | News

9/11 (Image: Getty) ISIS has issued a chilling warning to the US as the country prepares to mark 25 years since the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in 2001. The terror group has issued a statement in the ISIS propaganda al-Naba publication warning Americans that their war against the country is “far from over.” The article, published in Arabic, carries the headline “And America Lost” and presents a lengthy argument about the perceived decline of the United States since September 11, 2001. It claims America’s wars in Iraq and Afghanistan exposed the limits of its military power, arguing that Washington entered the conflicts believing it could impose its will and reshape the Middle East. The article claims the US has suffered not only military setbacks but also economic, political and “moral” losses. It repeatedly contrasts American power with what it describes as the fight against US military intervention by extremists. It claims America has increasingly been forced to rely on air power, drones, special forces and allied forces rather than conventional military occupations. …

EastEnders airs arrival of Denise Fox’s half-brother and Suki and Eve pain

EastEnders airs arrival of Denise Fox’s half-brother and Suki and Eve pain

Discovering a long-lost sibling in EastEnders would usually mean a secret vendetta or a chilling revelation – for Denise Fox (Diane Parish), it could very well save her life. The no-nonsense matriarch of Clan Fox-Trueman was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia back in May. Thanks to her declining health, she’s been away from Albert Square and confined to the four walls of a hospital ward. Even when it was safe to return home, she’s been forced to stay in bed separated from her loving family and partner Jack Branning (Scott Maslen). This hasn’t stopped Queen Dee from sticking her oar in whenever the Fox-Truemans were in trouble. The added stress of Denise’s daughter Chelsea Fox struggling to care for her son Jordan Fox after he was hit by Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) car took its toll. So did the return of Chelsea’s murderous ex Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) and his twisted plan to snatch Jordan. As always, Dee put her family first and delayed her own treatment to help Chelsea. Unfortunately, Denise’s cancer is proving …

EastEnders boss teases major storyline for Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin

There’s more drama ahead for Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Panesar-Unwin (Heather Peace) in EastEnders. The beloved couple haven’t had the easiest of marriages, despite initially believing that their trauma ended with the death of Suki’s despicable husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry). Over the last year, they’ve battled tough familial circumstances when Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) attempted to take his own life and was diagnosed with complex PTSD, had a botched attempt to raise teenage Avani Nandra-Hart’s (Aaliyah James) baby, and, following that, have been on a journey to adopt their own child. A young girl, Ria Virdi (Aaria Sharma), has since been placed in their care on a foster placement. Eve has struggled to bond with the youngster, and in upcoming scenes, Suki fears the worst when she learns that Ria’s birth mum has asked for full custody. A new story is on the horizon for Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal and Heather Peace). BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron A matter escalates at The Queen Vic, and when Ria is injured, Suki threatens legal action against landlady …

Iran’s government signals fuel price hike on eve of new US sanctions | US-Israel war on Iran

Tehran, Iran – The Iranian government is preparing the public for another increase in fuel prices as it attempts to buoy the country’s ailing economy. With the United States’ siege of Iran’s seaports and the economic impact of the war continuing, the offer of heavily subsidised fuel to the country’s 93 million population is a burden that the government is struggling to afford. Recommended Stories list of 4 itemsend of list The International Monetary Fund predicts that Iran’s gross domestic product (GDP) will contract by 5.4 percent in 2026. Hiking the price of petrol in this oil-rich country has already sparked unrest before, including nationwide demonstrations in 2019. Such measures also preceded the January 2026 protests by several weeks. So authorities are treading carefully, with a final decision expected over the coming weeks. “I understand that we have many problems in society now. We are doing our best so the people are not afflicted, but the enemy is doing its absolute best so we won’t succeed,” President Masoud Pezeshkian said during a speech on Sunday …
