The Scottish actor recalled the experience in a chat show segment called “Spill the IMDb-tea” after being shown a photo of himself alongside an ensemble of actors in the acclaimed HBO miniseries. He said that his co-stars, who had been shooting for almost a year, were angry when he arrived to film his episode, in which he had many lines, as they themselves had only had a little bit of screen time each. Bryan Cranston mourns ‘Breaking Bad’ co-star RJ Mitte: ‘My sweet son’

Emmy-winning actor Bryan Cranston on Monday lamented the death of “Breaking Bad” co-star RJ Mitte, calling the late actor and disability advocate “my sweet son.” Cranston, 70, said he was in “deep despair” over Mitte’s death by suicide and wondered whether he’d still be alive today had they only met up for lunch in recent days. “It is especially devastating to hear that he took his own life. Why? We were texting each other just a few weeks ago — figuring out when we could meet for lunch,” Cranston said in a statement Monday night. “I don’t know if that lunch would have changed his future. … But I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series.” Mitte, 34, who played the son of Cranston’s lead character, Walter White, in the hit AMC series “Breaking Bad,” died Monday in Brownsville, Texas. “I’m in deep despair as I write this tonight. On Monday night, Bryan shared his heartbreak in light of the news that RJ had been found dead at his home, at the age of 34. “I’m in deep despair as I write this tonight. RJ Mitte, my sweet son on Breaking Bad has died,” he recalled on Instagram. “I met him when he was only 14 years old when he was cast as Walter White Jr., a part he played with such joy and enthusiasm. “Born with Cerebral Palsy, he never – ever – allowed that challenge to be an excuse for anything. He met the demanding shooting schedule head on with great determination. Always listening to the advice that his TV parents (Anna Gunn and myself) gave him – but being a teenager, sometimes mischievously ignoring the counsel in order to learn the hard way[.]” RJ Mitte and Bryan Cranston in 2013 He continued: “[RJ] was …

Jake Johnson Teases New Project With New Girl Co-Star Damon Wayans Jr.

All six of the main New Girl cast members reunited at a special event on Saturday night, but that’s not the only re-teaming on the horizon. Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr., who co-starred on the hit series as well as in 2014 film Let’s Be Cops, are coming back together for a Hulu pilot inspired by The Cable Guy, a 1996 dark comedy starring Jim Carrey and directed by Ben Stiller. The announcement for the untitled project was made in June, with Johnson and Wayans Jr. both leading and executive producing. “In a world of endless streaming, binging and algorithms, old-school cable technician Chip Douglas (Johnson) languishes alone — until Steven Stephens (Wayans) calls to have his cable turned back on, reconnecting Chip with a childhood friend he never forgot,” reads the show’s logline. “The relationship gives each man something he’s been missing — until Chip’s enthusiasm turns into obsession. Inspired by the movie, the show explores the darkly absurd side of modern-day male friendship.” As the New Girl cast came together at the …

Kelly Clarkson talks ‘romantic date night’ as fans comment on connection with The Voice co-star

Kelly Clarkson’s musical choices are seemingly feeding into fan theories on social media. The singer and inaugural American Idol champ appeared in a segment behind-the-scenes of The Voice called “Soundtrack It,” providing songs to fit the bill for each scenario on Instagram. When asked about a potential track for a “romantic date night,” Kelly couldn’t resist shouting out the 1985 country music hit “Lost in the Fifties Tonight (In The Still of the Night)” by Ronnie Milsap. At one point, she was also asked about what song would play at a family dance party, and while she noted her son Remington “Remy” is picking something by Michael Jackson, her daughter River would definitely go country, with the song chosen being one by her The Voice co-judge Riley Green. Jack Lowden's Slow Horses Co-Star Casts Doubt On James Bond Rumours

Jack Lowden's Slow Horses Co-Star Casts Doubt On James Bond Rumours

It seems not everyone is convinced by rumours that Jack Lowden is set to become the next James Bond. While speculation about who will play 007 in the next Bond movie has been rife for what feels like forever, in recent history, reports have suggested it’s been narrowed down to a contest between the Slow Horses actor and Heartstopper’s Jack Barton. During a new interview with The Telegraph, comedian and actor Nick Mohammed – who became part of the Slow Horses cast last year – was put on the spot about Jack potentially taking over the role of the iconic MI6 agent. “Like I would know,” he responded with a laugh. “But also I just suspect not.” Jack Lowden at the 2024 Emmys Nick continued: “I would love it to be true. I sort of don’t think it is.  “I’d heard rumours – as everyone heard rumours – that it was going to be a younger Bond, that they wanted someone possibly more in their late 20s rather than in their 30s. So we’ll see.” …

Tom Cruise’s famous child co-star Jonathan Lipnicki makes rare appearance 30 years after Jerry Maguire role

Tom Cruise’s famous child co-star Jonathan Lipnicki makes rare appearance 30 years after Jerry Maguire role

Jonathan Lipnicki was one of the most recognizable child stars of the ’90s after stealing scenes alongside Tom Cruise and Renée Zellweger in Jerry Maguire. But almost 30 years after winning over audiences as bespectacled Ray Boyd, the actor looked worlds away from his child star days as he made a rare red carpet appearance in Los Angeles. Jonathan, 35, stepped out for the premiere of A24’s Primetime, looking dapper in a sage green suit teamed with a black shirt and a purple pocket square. Sporting a neatly trimmed beard and his hair styled in a short, swept-back cut, the former child star looked worlds away from the bespectacled little boy who famously told Tom’s character that “the human head weighs eight pounds” in the 1996 hit. The outing was particularly significant for Jonathan, marking his first red carpet appearance in two years as well as a major return to the big screen. © InstagramJonathan 30 years after Jerry Maguire Jonathan’s Hollywood comeback Jonathan appears alongside Robert Pattinson in Primetime, director Lance Oppenheim’s movie inspired …
