“You can’t explain your way out of this”: CNN panelists slam Harris campaign’s excuses for loss

“You can’t explain your way out of this”: CNN panelists slam Harris campaign’s excuses for loss

CNN panelists weren’t happy with the excuses made for  ‘ loss by top campaign staffers this week. A who’s who of the Harris campaign stopped by the podcast “Pod Save America” for an episode released on Tuesday that attempted to serve as a post-mortem of the election and an explanation of Harris’ stunning loss. Commentator Bakari Sellers and national affairs correspondent Jeff Zeleny both came away from the talk feeling that Democratic Party strategists had no interest in taking the blame for their own decisions.  “It was disappointing at best, hearing their lack of self-awareness, their lack of self-reflection,” Sellers said, laying into the staffers for a lack of clear messaging and for covering up flagging numbers. “[They showed an] inability to figure out a way in which you could win this race. Simply providing messaging and saying that we’re up whereby you don’t believe that in your heart of hearts to be true.” Zeleny was equally harsh in his critique of the campaign staffers’ analysis. “You can’t explain your way out of this loss,” he …

Charlamagne tha God Slams CNN For ‘Bullshit’ Trump Coverage

Charlamagne tha God took no prisoners during an appearance on CNN‘s AC360 on Thursday night, damning the network’s coverage of Donald Trump and overtly fascist statements and tendencies, and the double standards it applies to Kamala Harris in an impassioned bout of truth-telling that left host Anderson Cooper reeling. In a clip that has gone viral on social media, Charlamagne, a popular podcaster and co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club, is asked by Cooper about Trump’s plan to appear on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and whether Harris planned to do the same. “I think that she should keep calling Donald Trump a fascist,” Charlamagne replied tersely to the rather inane question. He continued, “And I think that Americans need to keep looking at the rhetoric of Donald Trump because I don’t know why we’re even thinking about electing somebody who’s talking about putting people in camps. I don’t know why we’re talking, why we want to elect somebody who’s talking about mass deportation. I don’t know why we’re having this …

But in the interview, she insisted she had changed her mind by a little bit later in that same campaign in 2020 – that she’s been in favor of fracking for years and would not ban it now. “The Polling Data Has Been Wrong All Along”: Watch Biden Deny Economic Reality In Train-Wreck CNN Interview

Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news, During a brutal CNN interview aired Wednesday, Joe Biden looked shocked when host Erin Burnett reeled off a list of stats detailing how bad the economy is. Instead of suggesting how he is going to improve the situation, Biden denied any of it was real and claimed every poll showing Americans favouring Trump on the economy is wrong. “Voters, by a wide margin, trust Trump more on the economy,” Burnett noted, before listing possible reasons for that including the cost of buying a home having doubled, real income accounting for inflation being down, economic growth being way short of expectations and consumer confidence being near a two year low. “Are you worried that you’re running out of time to turn [the economy] around?” Burnett asked Biden. “We’ve already turned it around,” Biden bizarrely claimed, before adding that “the polling data has been wrong all along.” Biden looks shocked as CNN host Erin Burnett reels off a list of stats detailing how bad the economy is. Biden Thinks Trump Won’t Accept 2024 Election Result

President Joe Biden has said he is all but certain Donald Trump, his predecessor and presumptive 2024 rival, will reject the results of the November election and called Trump “dangerous” for the nation. “The guy is not a democrat with a small d,” Biden told CNN’s Erin Burnett during a visit to Wisconsin this week. “How many court cases do they have, Supreme Court cases? They’ve all said this is a totally legitimate election. … He may not accept the outcome of the election? I promise you he won’t. Which is dangerous.” The president went on to say other world leaders had expressed to him their fear of a second Trump presidency and pointed to Trump’s pledge to prosecute his political opponents if he enters the Oval Office once more. “He means it,” Biden told Burnett. “I mean, listen to what he’s saying.” “I promise you he won’t.” President Biden sounds the alarm on former President Trump not committing to accept the election results. pic.twitter.com/BPyEgpcVGz — Erin Burnett OutFront (@OutFrontCNN) May 9, 2024 Burnett pointed …

CNN debases itself by acting as DOJ’s free PR contractor

CNN needs to rethink its relationship with some of its sources. It is doing its reputation no favors by serving as the Justice Department’s go-to source for spin and friendly coverage. On April 30, the Daily Signal, a creation of the conservative Heritage Foundation, landed a scoop. Kristen Clarke, the assistant attorney general for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, had lied under oath during her Senate confirmation.  Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) asked then-nominee Clarke specifically, “Since becoming a legal adult, have you ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person?” In a written response submitted under oath, Clarke answered with a simple “No.” Her answer was untrue. Clarke was arrested in 2006 following a domestic dispute in which her then-husband alleged she attacked him with a knife. A criminal case against Clarke was initiated later that same year but was eventually dismissed without trial. Clarke then sought an “Order for Expungement of Police and Court Records,” which was granted in 2008. Her divorce was finalized the …

CNN host presses NYC mayor on claims of ‘outside agitators’ at student protests

CNN anchor Erin Burnett pressed New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) on his claims of “outside agitators” at the recent pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University. “Do you have any ability at this point to tell us how many of those were ‘outside agitators’ and how many of them were students at Columbia University?” Burnett said on her CNN show Wednesday, in a clip highlighted by Mediaite. Adams responded that there was “clear evidence of training that was conducted by an outside agitator, that was not a student, did not belong on the campus.” “In addition to that, we saw people participating and allowing people access to Hamilton Hall,” Adams continued, referring to the building on Columbia’s campus that was taken over by protestors on Tuesday morning. Adams then said he “received a letter from the school” and that in that letter, the school claimed that there were “outside individuals who were on the grounds, [participating} [in] this activity.” Burtnett then questioned if there would be a “breakdown” from Adams’ office or the New York …

CNN Reporter Describes Moment That ‘Got A Laugh’ From Trump In Court

Donald Trump appeared momentarily amused in court on Thursday during a particular piece of testimony from former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker, according to a CNN reporter. Reporting from outside the Manhattan courthouse, CNN’s Brynn Gingras said that the former president had appeared disengaged during many parts of the court proceedings. She said he was sitting back in his chair with his eyes shut, occasionally conferring with his attorney. But Pecker’s testimony about a January 2017 meeting at Trump Tower got his attention. According to The New York Times, Pecker said he met with Trump and four people who would take on key government roles during his presidency: Sean Spicer, press secretary; Reince Priebus, chief of staff; Mike Pompeo, CIA director and secretary of state; and James Comey, FBI director. Pecker said Trump introduced him to the men and then added that Pecker probably “knows more than anyone else in this room.” “It was a joke,” Pecker testified, according to the Times. “Unfortunately, they didn’t laugh.” Gingras said Trump “actually did give a smirk” when …
