Kenneth Branagh stars in first-look clip for Ryan Reynolds film Mayday

Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh have teamed up for a new action-comedy coming to Apple TV this week – and Radio Times can exclusively reveal a first-look clip from the film. Mayday – which is set at the height of the cold war in the 1980s – is a buddy comedy that follows Reynolds’s Troy, a US Air Force pilot, after he lands behind enemy lines in Russia and finds an unlikely ally in the shape of a former KGB agent (played by Branagh). It is written and directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, the duo who were previously behind hit 2018 comedy Game Night and the well-received fantasy adaptation Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves. The action-packed clip begins with a man being frantically driven up to a plane as it’s preparing to take off and asking his driver to “pull up close to the cabin door.” Meanwhile, the characters played by Reynolds and Branagh are in the cockpit of the plane, with the former instructing the latter to close the plane’s …

ITV apologises after airing unedited sweary clip of Gordon Ramsay

ITV apologises after airing unedited sweary clip of Gordon Ramsay

ITV has issued an apology after receiving a warning from Ofcom for accidentally airing an expletive-heavy rant from Gordon Ramsay before 9am. Well known for his sweary tirades, celebrity chef Ramsay has appeared on ITV since 2007, when he starred in the reality show Hell’s Kitchen. While Ramsay’s shows normally air post-watershed – the time when more mature content can be broadcast on TV – ITV found itself in trouble with Ofcom over a “clear breach” of its rules. During the broadcast of a repeat of Ramsay’s competition series Food Stars USA on 2 May, the 8.25am showing featured instances of Ramsay, 59, saying the word “f***” and “f***ing” – which remained in the subtitles despite being bleeped out of the episode itself. Ramsay’s swearing was bleeped out of the episode of ‘Food Stars USA’, but remained in the subtitles (Fox/YouTube) Ofcom said that ITV had apologised and explained that, due to “human error”, the subtitles had been generated in June 2025 from a version of the episode featuring the original expletive, before “the implementation …
