When Charles met First Nations elders during a visit to the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (NCIE) in Sydney, Elder Allan Murray from the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council told him their goal was “sovereignty”. The visit came after the King was accused on Monday of “genocide” against Australia’s First Nations by senator Lidia Thorpe who told him “You are not my King”. The Indigenous senator has spoken out to explain why she confronted him after his parliamentary adress. Peanuts Creator Charles Schulz Shares with a 10-Year-Old Kid the True Meaning of Good Citizenship

In 1970, when 10-year-old Joel Linton asked Charles Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, “What do you think makes a good citizen?” Schulz sent the youngster a short but pithy reply: Dear Joel: I think it is more difficult these days to define what makes a good citizen than it has ever been before. Certainly all any of us can do is follow our own conscience and retain faith in our democracy. Sometimes it is the very people who cry out the loudest in favor of getting back to what they call “American Virtues” who lack this faith in our country. I believe that our greatest strength lies always in the protection of our smallest minorities. Sincerely yours, Charles M. Banknotes with King Charles III’s image go into circulation

Banknotes with King Charles III’s image go into circulation

LONDON — In the United Kingdom, the rapid spread of cashless payments means that cash is no longer king, but now at least the notes will carry the image of one. Banknotes featuring King Charles III’s face went into circulation on Wednesday, his portrait featured on new 5-, 10-, 20- and 50-pound bills — the last one little used and worth a hefty $64. The Charles banknotes are entering circulation slowly, with new bills produced to replace torn or tatty notes, or if there’s a need to print more money. Some people couldn’t wait that long — early on Wednesday, there was a line outside of the Bank of England of people eager to get their hands on the new banknotes. The only alteration on the money is the addition of Charles’s portrait, which appears on the front of the notes and in a little cameo in the see-through security window. The back of the notes remains unchanged — the 5-pound note features Winston Churchill; the 10-pound note writer Jane Austen, the 20-pound note artist …

The 3 rarely seen but adored royal kids King Charles sees far more of than Archie and Lili | Royal | News

King Charles III is said to enjoy spending time with Zara and Mike Tindall’s three children – Mia, 10, Lena, five, and Lucas, three. The monarch, a proud grandfather to five, is known to spend a lot of time with his three eldest grandchildren, Prince William’s trio – Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six. Although he spends time with George, Charlotte, and Louis, the King has spent very little time with Prince Harry’s two children – Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, two. Archie, who celebrated his fifth birthday earlier this week, and Lilibet now live in the US – more than 5,000 miles from their royal relatives in the UK. Due to the distance, Mia, Lena, and Lucas appear to spend more time with the King than Harry’s children. Here, Express.co.uk looks at the three rarely-seen, but adored, royal children that spend more time with the monarch than Archie and Lilibet. Mia Grace Tindall – the eldest child of Zara and Mike Tindall – was born in January 2014 at …
