ITV has confirmed that Big Brother housemate Charlotte Nott has exited the series, with her departure to air during tonight’s (27 September) episode. The exit was confirmed via a social media post, which read: “Charlotte has made the decision to leave the Big Brother House. We thank her for being a fantastic Housemate. Tune in tonight to watch her departure.” Charlotte, an 18-year-old quadruple amputee from Oxford, was the youngest housemate this year, and her exit comes a day after fellow housemate Chelsey was evicted following a public vote. Charlotte’s entrance into the house sparked concern from fans due to an “unforeseen issue with her shoe”. As she made her way towards the house, cameras showed the housemate struggling with her footwear before host Will Best went over to help. Charlotte was heard saying she needed to take off her prosthetic legs, and when she was next seen being interviewed by Best and co-host AJ Odudu, she was without them. These systems provide multiple layers of protection for the building but they also carry a risk of backfiring: any surveillance system that is vulnerable to intruders could potentially provide unauthorized users with details about the activities of the Defense Department (DOD) and its employees. This risk is higher than usual right now because of the decision to install a controversial piece of equipment all over the Pentagon grounds: Flock cameras. There are at least nine Flock automated license plate readers (ALPRs) currently monitoring the traffic lanes used by drivers entering the Pentagon’s parking lots, including many of the DOD’s own employees. The purpose of these cameras is to give the Pentagon’s security forces the ability to automatically record information about incoming vehicles that may pose a security risk. José Gregorio González is inside an immigration detention center almost a year after he donated his kidney to save the life of his brother, who has end-stage renal disease. The Venezuelan man was taken into ICE custody July 21 during a routine check-in appointment with immigration authorities in Chicago. González had been reporting to Immigration and Customs Enforcement since April on a weekly basis, sometimes more than once. The agency had placed him in an intensive supervision program to monitor his whereabouts after his yearlong humanitarian parole expired, according to his lawyer and brother. “I don’t really see a need to necessarily detain him,” said Peter Meinecke, an attorney handling his immigration case and the managing attorney at Resurrection Project, a nonprofit group in Chicago. “He has no criminal record and has been dutifully complying with supervision,” Meinecke told NBC News. Big Brother commands a machinery of propaganda that bombards his subjects with relentless projections of strength, combined with savaging of enemies real or imagined. OpenAI does not like to be left out. The week after Anthropic announced Claude Mythos Preview—an AI model that has put governments around the world on edge because of its potential ability to hack into banks, energy grids, and military systems—OpenAI shared a program that is uncannily similar. And just like Anthropic did with its model, OpenAI has, for cybersecurity purposes, restricted access to this new bot, called GPT-5.4-Cyber, to a small group of trusted users. This sequence has become something of a pattern: First Anthropic will make an announcement, and then OpenAI will follow suit. Last year, Anthropic launched Claude Code, an AI coding tool. A couple of months later, OpenAI came out with its own version, Codex. When Claude Code had a breakout moment in January, OpenAI responded with two major updates to Codex alongside a press blitz for the product.
