Commonwealth Games 2026 TV coverage: TV channels and live stream details

The Commonwealth Games are here and ready to be your next sporting obsession.

This summer’s 10-day sporting spectacle is stripped back but Glasgow 2026 will still host 3,000 athletes from 74 competing associations, 215 events, 10 sports, and see 1168 medals handed out.

It all begins on Thursday, with the start of the Bowls and Para Bowls events before the “unmistakably Glasgow” opening ceremony, while Friday will see the first medals handed out in the Artistic Gymnastics, Para Powerlifting, Swimming and Para Swimming.

UK viewers will be used to tuning in every four years on the BBC but Glasgow 2026 marks the first time in 72 years that the public service broadcaster, which was outbid by TNT Sports, does not have TV coverage.

Luckily, there are other ways to watch and Radio Times brings you the ultimate TV guide to watching the Commonwealth Games 2026, including channel details, live stream information and more.

How to watch Commonwealth Games 2026 on TV and live stream online

TNT Sports is the new home of the Commonwealth Games, which starts with the opening ceremony on Thursday 23 July and runs until Sunday 2 August.

More than 600 hours of events at Glasgow 2026 are set to be broadcast live across TNT Sports channels and streamed on HBO Max.

TNT Sports 2, the Commonwealth Games 360 channel, will be live from 8:30am to 10:30pm every day and jump between all the big moments from the different events.

Individual events will have dedicated live coverage on TNT Sports 3, TNT Sports 4 and on live streams via HBO Max.

Fans can tune in to watch every moment of this summer’s Commonwealth Games live on all HBO Max subscription plans, starting from £4.99 per month.

There are multiple 0ther ways to get TNT Sports. If you already have BT Broadband, you can add TNT Sports to your existing contract from just £18 per month. You can add the ‘Big Sport’ package for £40 per month which includes all TNT Sports and 11 Sky Sports channels via a NOW pass.

I studied medicine at Trinity College, Oxford, and qualified as a doctor. There are already many excellent blogs exploring faith, humanism, atheism, politics, rationalism, philosophical doubt and everything in between. But I don't intend to limit myself to any particular subject. This is simply a space where I'll share whatever comes to mind, whether it's something I've been thinking about for years or just a passing thought from the day.
