Two teenagers have died and three others seriously injured in a three-car crash in Northumberland.
Northumbria police said Connor Lapworth, 18, died at the scene and 15-year-old Corey Mavin, suffered head injuries but died in hospital.
The accident involved a Suzuki Vitara, a Range Rover Evoque and a Ford Focus on the A192 Hartford Bank, in Cramlington on Friday.
The teens who died, and two of those who suffered serious injuries were in the Suzuki.
A 36-year-old woman in the Range Rover was also seriously injured. A 52-year-old female driver of the Ford Focus was uninjured.
Northumbria Police said: “Our thoughts are firmly with the families of the two young people who have lost their lives.
“We will offer them all of the support they need and ask that their privacy is respected at this time.”
