JD Sports has come under fire after posting an “irresponsible” advert showing motorcyclists wearing trainers. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said it had received 41 complaints about the social media adverts promoting Nike Air Max 95s in which bikers are seen performing stunts such as wheelies. The footage carried the disclaimer “stunts performed by professionals – do not try at home”, but still gained criticism from the public. “What level of riding protection do your trainers offer, seen as your promotional angle is biker wear,” one person wrote in the comments on Instagram. While another added: “Wow @jdsports making bikers look like hooligans. Well done. But if you want healthy joints too, you need to execute your moves with the full range of motion (ROM). That’s where yoga blocks can come in handy. This 20-minute Instagram workout by trainer Kat Boley uses yoga blocks to improve ROM in certain exercises and to add variety to the routine.   If you fancy a challenge, grab a couple of yoga blocks, a dumbbell, and a kettlebell and give this workout a go. This three-move kettlebell workout won’t take up much of your day, but you’ll certainly feel the burn afterward.  The exercises recruit multiple muscles across your body, while also challenging your core. You can do the quick routine on its own or tag it onto the end of your usual training session.  As the repetitions (reps) are on the higher side, choose a kettlebell weight that you find challenging, but make sure it’s not so heavy that it ruins your form or stops you from completing the required number of reps. One of the cheapest and easiest ways to upgrade your at-home training is to invest in a set of good quality resistance bands.  That’s the only equipment you’ll need for this five-move workout from certified personal trainer Rachael Sacerdoti, designed to strengthen your lower-body.  “Resistance bands are super versatile and can provide a great workout for all fitness levels,” Sacerdoti says. “They’re also useful for building strength and developing specific areas, such as the glutes [butt muscles] and hips.” How to do Sacerdoti’s resistance band workout Banded side raise x10 per side Banded butterflies x15 Banded squat x12 Banded kickback x12 per side Banded side step x20  Perform the five exercises as a circuit, rest for 30-60 seconds, then repeat.
