A cranky Donald Trump glared at New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman when he awoke from a courtroom power nap during his trial on Monday and found out that she had already informed the world that he had dozed off. “Mr. Trump appeared to nod off a few times, his mouth going slack and his head drooping onto his chest,” Haberman wrote Monday. Haberman went onto CNN later on Monday to explain that the fatigue of a courtroom spares no one, including jurors and judges, but she added that if a criminal defendant falls asleep it has to be reported.  Shortly after her report on his nap was published, Haberman told CNN that Trump glared at her in the courtroom, describing it as a “pretty specific stare” seemingly because he didn’t like that she made his Monday morning siesta public knowledge.   “I think that having to sit there and be captive while we all report on him is going to be deeply uncomfortable for him because he is somebody who likes to control things,” Haberman …

The heart stopping moment a toddler stares down a gang of hooded thugs as they attacked a woman and man has been released. In an astonishing show of bravery, the toddler attempts to protect the duo as they are punched in the face during the disturbing South East London exchange. As the violence intensifies, the toddler then tries to chase the gang away before bystanders intervene to protect the sparring parties. The video was taken of the incident in Sidcup, near the London-Kent border. The man, woman and toddler are initially seen in the footage walking up to a car before they are spotted by the group of two men. The thugs approach the vehicle and within seconds are unleashing punches on the woman and man, with the latter’s head targeted. The male victim falls to the ground as he attempts to protect himself before the woman then attempts to drag the attackers away from the man. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is at the heart of congested congressional traffic this week as House Republicans kick off their impeachment efforts against him and he remains knee-deep in negotiations with senators on a border package that has proven to be a tough lift. Mayorkas has been at the center of the GOP fury with the Biden administration’s handling of the border, which has seen month-over-month record numbers of illegal crossings.  This week, though, represents the perfect storm for the embattled cabinet secretary as border talks come to a head and the House Homeland Security Committee holds its first hearing Wednesday as part of the impeachment process.  “I think he’s a consummate professional and he knows there are things we need to do. There are additional tools he wants. I support him in that. I support the negotiations,” Sen.
