Prince William says Kate ‘doing well,’ in rare comments since cancer diagnosis

LONDON: Prince William on Friday (May 10) offered a positive assessment of his wife’s health, a hospital administrator said, in one of the royal’s few comments about Kate’s condition since she announced that she was undergoing treatment for cancer. William was on a solo tour of St. Mary’s Community Hospital on the Isles of Scilly, an archipelago off the Cornish coast in southwestern England. He travelled there to break ground for a new building that will include inpatient treatment beds and a maternity suite. “I asked William about his wife Kate and he said, ‘She’s doing well, thanks,’” hospital administrator Tracy Smith told reporters. “And I suggested they might like to come for a visit and bring the children.” The Princess of Wales stepped away from public duties after announcing on March 22, that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer. In a video message, she said she had begun chemotherapy. The news came after King Charles III her father-in-law also announced a cancer diagnosis. He returned to public-facing duties last week …

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘go against Megxit manifesto’ in Nigeria | Royal | News

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to take a veteran reporter with them on their trip to Nigeria goes against their “Megxit manifesto”, according to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield. Schofield – host of popular podcast To Di For Daily – believes a young, up-and-coming reporter would align with values described on their website after they stepped back from senior working royal duties in 2020. On sussexroyal.com, the couple’s aims say they wish to “engage with grassroots media organisations and young, up-and-coming journalists”. Instead, PEOPLE’s chief foreign correspondent Simon Perry has joined them on the trip, which follows Harry returning to the UK for a few days. Schofield told Daily Express US: “In January of 2020, they announced that they were changing their media strategy to ‘ensure diverse and open access to their work.’ READ MORE: A brutal 10-word rebuttal issued over Harry and Meghan’s three-day Nigeria trip READ MORE: Prince Harry ‘cries for attention’ with one gesture he does 17 times The Duke of Sussex had attended a series of engagements in London in connection …

The Duke of Sussex spent a few days back in the UK for a visit this week attending events for the Invictus Games, including a special 10th anniversary celebratory service at St Paul’s Cathedral. Crowds gathered outside cheered the Prince on as he entered the cathedral, with shouts of “we love you Harry” being heard as he arrived at the service. Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror that the Duke’s appearance has made him realise what he is missing out on having given up royal duties – meeting the public. He said: “The one part of being a working role that Harry really misses is the chance to meet the public – however insecure he feels as a royal, he has always felt totally secure as a celebrity. “This has its origins in the fact that when he was a teenager, he had to employ a full-time secretary just …

Royal Family LIVE: Harry slammed as ‘toxic influence’ after King snub | Royal | News

Prince Harry has been branded a “toxic influence” by one journalist after King Charles failed to reunite with his son during his stint in London. The Duke of Sussex flew into the UK earlier this week to attend the Invictus Games 10th anniversary service at St Paul’s Cathedral, and he had hoped to be able to see his father while they were in the same city. But a spokesperson for Harry later confirmed that the King’s packed schedule had made this impossible, with many speculating that His Majesty had chosen to avoid meeting his son. Speaking on GB News on Wednesday night, Lowri Turner described the King’s decision as being a “megaphone in a quietly elegant way to say ‘you’re not welcome’.” She said: “Nothing concentrates the mind like being diagnosed with cancer, and maybe he’s taken a leaf out of Harry’s Californian book and thought about, ‘I don’t need toxic influences in my life at the moment’. “Harry’s a bit of a toxic influence, certainly Camilla probably thinks so.” THIS IS A LIVE BLOG. Prince Harry asked King Charles to meet ‘over a month before UK trip’ | Royal | News

King Charles could “easily” have found time to see Prince Harry during his visit to London as his son asked him for a meeting weeks ago, according to a source. Today, May 8, the Duke of Sussex will attend a special commemorative service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark 10 years since the first Invictus Games. The Duke of Sussex is expected to be over in the UK for two or three days, attending a service at St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games later today. She said: “This is a confident, splayed-leg, knee-bent walk from Harry who, with his chin raised and an eye-smile that suggests some delight at all the royal-looking fuss here, appears more than happy to enjoy a reception that involves some sort of a military parade for him to inspect as well as a warm, bicep-grabbing man hug reception from his …
