The shares were part of a contractual “earnout bonus” that Trump’s eponymous media company agreed to shortly before it went public in March. At Tuesday’s closing price of $49.93, Trump’s newly awarded shares were worth around $1.8 billion, although he is prohibited from selling them until a six-month lockup period expires. The additional shares bring Trump’s total in the newly public company to 114,750,000. At Tuesday’s closing price, their value on paper is over $5.7 billion. Jose Mujica, the former president of Uruguay, has announced that he has esophageal cancer. Mujica, who is almost 90, said Monday the tumor was discovered in a routine checkup Friday. Doctors are discussing the best course of treatment for the former president who also has an autoimmune disease. “This is obviously very complicated and doubly so in my case, Mujica said. Mujica was a leader of the Tupamaros, a Marxist guerilla group in the 1960s and 1970s. He was in jail in 1985 when the South American country’s dictatorship fell. Mujica was Uruguay’s president from 2010 to 2015. During his tenure in office, he passed several progressive laws, including the legalization of abortion and gay marriage. Also, under his watch, Uruguay became the first country in the world to fully legalize recreational marijuana. During his presidency, Mujica was known as “the world’s poorest president” because he maintained a modest lifestyle, living in his own house instead of the presidential residence and driving a Volkswagen Beetle. It was announced on Monday (29 April) that, six months before Green Wing’s 20th anniversary, the show’s cast have reunited for a six-part audio series that sees them reprising their roles. The wacky sitcom premiered in 2004, and kicked of with an episode showing Tamsin Greig’s Caroline Todd on her first day at work in East Hampton hospital filled with eccentric colleagues, including Guy Secretan (Stephen Mangan), Sue White (Michelle Gomez) and Joanna Clore (Pippa Haywood). A school in South Wales was locked down after a teenage pupil allegedly received threatening messages. Gwent Police said Ebbw Fawr Learning Community in Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent, was placed into lockdown at around 10.20am on Friday. The force confirmed police officers attended the school in Wales, where they remained to provide reassurance. Police said a boy has been arrested over the alleged threats – which did not take place at the school or the surrounding area. Via Wikipedia.   Iraq received an ancient Sumerian sculpture after the Metropolitan Museum conducted internal research for which it just hired a head of provenance research. According to a statement from the Met, the Sumerian sculpture was returned during a ceremony in Washington, D.C.    A Nude Man Carrying a Box on His Head An ancient Sumerian sculpture has been returned to Iraq. Photo courtesy of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.   The return occurs just a few weeks before the museum’s provenance research team is scheduled to be led by Lucian Simmons, the former head of Sotheby’s restitution department, in May. Having focused on provenance and restitution issues since 1997, Simmons will now oversee a group of researchers. They will examine several of the museum’s 19 collection sections.   The museum’s listing of the piece states the copper alloy figure. It shows a nude man carrying a box on his head, and also dates to between 2900 and 2600 B.C.E. The museum described it as a “fine example” of Sumerian sculpting in metal. “Only certain categories of people had representation as nude …
