There’s New Tom Holland Christopher Nolan Movie Info

There’s New Tom Holland Christopher Nolan Movie Info

Christopher Nolan, whose 2023 hit Oppenheimer left critics pretty satisfied, will be working with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland on a new movie. The star, who people knew was “in talks” to work with the directing legend earlier this month, recently gave a little more info about the project away on Good Morning America. He’ll appear alongside Matt Damon in the secretive film. But speaking to Good Morning America, Tom said he knows as little as the rest of us. “All I can say is that I’m incredibly excited,” he shared. “And obviously honoured, but that’s all I can say because, to be honest, that’s all I know.” The show’s host asked the Uncharted star if he’d sign up for a Nolan flick “sight unseen because it’s Christopher Nolan,” to which Tom replied, “100% without a shadow of a doubt.” He also revealed that finding out he was working on the movie was “the phone call of a lifetime.” Tom, who is also working on a new Spider-Man movie, added: “It was reminiscent of getting the …

On Monday’s episode (6 May) of the daytime ITV programme, royal expert Dickie Arbiter joined the panel to provide some commentary on the monarchy’s recent developments, including the King’s return to work after his cancer diagnosis, as well as the Princess of Wales’s cancer announcement. When asked his thoughts on whether the family could reconcile with Harry in light of his public estrangement from them, Arbiter, 83, was doubtful. “Harry has been rubbishing the family since he walked out in 2020,” he said, before noting the Duke of Sussex’s various TV interviews and best-selling memoir, detailing his issues with the family. “We had in 2021, Oprah; we had at the end of ’22, six hours of Netflix, and then we had at the beginning of …

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan pleads for help following ‘meltdown’ over big house move

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan pleads for help following ‘meltdown’ over big house move

Coleen Nolan confessed she’s in the middle of a big “quandary” over her home relocation as she prepares to up sticks with “so many animals.” The Loose Women panellist currently lives in Cheshire while her children Shane Jr, Ciara and Jake have flown the nest, but she’s planning to move “much further away.” Ahead of her relocation, Coleen used her ‘Coleen’s Corner’ series on Instagram to ask fans for help. “The last time we moved it was just at the start of lockdown so we had to do it in our cars and it was only 15 minutes up the road. This one’s much further away – what do I do? “Do I order one of these big massive company removal things that apparently are extortionate? Do I rent a van? I know I sound stupid but I’m just in a bit of a quandary. “I don’t know what to do with myself. So many animals to transport and I’m just having a bit of a meltdown. If any of you out there have got any …

‘They even got a real jetpack in there!’: Todd Howard and Jonathan Nolan on Fallout | Games

‘They even got a real jetpack in there!’: Todd Howard and Jonathan Nolan on Fallout | Games

If you had asked director Jonathan Nolan what his favourite film of the year was in the late 00s, more often than not he would have given you the name of a video game instead. “Having grown up with the entire history of the medium – I started playing Pong with my brother Chris many, many years ago – that was when games started to take on this level of audacity in their storytelling, their tone, the things they were doing,” he says. “That’s what I felt with [2008’s] Fallout 3: the audacity. Frankly I wasn’t feeling that in the film and television business at that time.” Nolan, who has just finished directing the first series of Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show, is sitting next to Todd Howard, the video-game director who led development on Fallout 3 and 4, talking to me a few hours before the premiere of the first two episodes. It is evident within minutes that Nolan understands games almost as well as Todd does. He says he’s drawn to games where …

17 terrible movies by great filmmakers, from Christopher Nolan to Steven Spielberg

Get our free weekly email for all the latest cinematic news from our film critic Clarisse Loughrey Get our The Life Cinematic email for free In every industry and walk of life, even the best of us sometimes fail to hit the mark. For professional filmmakers, however, mistakes can be costly. Unlike most people, their slip-ups can be witnessed by millions of people – a bad film can tar someone’s reputation for years or even decades. This isn’t just a list about bad films, however. This is a tribute to the rare instances when great filmmakers just got it wrong. For every Kelly Reichardt or Paul Thomas Anderson out there – artists who have managed to go their whole careers without ever really letting the quality slide – there are countless others who haven’t quite managed it. Even giants of the medium  have found themselves prone to the occasional bum note. And it’s not just directors either; some of the best actors around have also been guilty of the occasional dreadful performance. This list, however, …

Blue Bendy frontman Arthur Nolan: ‘I see a lot of myself in Kendall Roy’

Blue Bendy frontman Arthur Nolan: ‘I see a lot of myself in Kendall Roy’

Sign up to Roisin O’Connor’s free weekly newsletter Now Hear This for the inside track on all things music Get our Now Hear This email for free Blue Bendy might’ve been just another post-punk band lost in a sea of distortion were it not for their frontman’s “fickle” attitude to genre. The six-piece’s excellent debut album, So Medieval, is evidence enough of this: it’s an ambitious record that revels in the push-and-pull of sound and ideas, and is brimming with bon mots. Tortured centrepiece “The Day I Said You’d Died (He Lives)” gallops merrily along a frenetic guitar riff, punctuated with sunny, Vampire Weekend-style bursts and squelchy synths. Instead of taking on the snarling sprechgesang of bands like Shame or Black Midi, Arthur Nolan sings in a strange, lopsided moan. It’s also, remarkably, a record that never feels cluttered, despite its profound cacophony of instruments. Blue Bendy rode in on the tail of the Brixton Windmill scene. Nolan, now 27, arrived in London from Scunthorpe in 2017; he and guitarist Joe Nash were joined by …

Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan and producer wife Emma Thomas to receive knighthood and damehood | Ents & Arts News

Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan will receive a knighthood, documents published by the government show. His wife, movie producer Emma Thomas, is to receive a damehood. Filmmaker Nolan won a best director Oscar this month for his biopic Oppenheimer about the “father of the atomic bomb”, which also won the prize for best picture and swept the awards season. Image: Cillian Murphy as J Robert Oppenheimer in the hit movie. Pic: Universal Pictures Nolan had previously been nominated for six Academy Awards, but had never picked up an Oscar for directing until this year’s ceremony. Born in London to a British father and American mother, Nolan read English at University College London, choosing UCL because of its filmmaking facilities. It is also where he met his future wife, Thomas, with whom he has four children. Nolan, 53, and Thomas, 52, have collaborated on all of his major feature films including The Dark Knight trilogy, 2010’s Inception, 2014’s Interstellar, 2017’s Dunkirk and 2020’s Tenet. The couple co-founded and run a production company, Syncopy, that has been behind …
