Deadline reports that the mockumentary series would likely be set in a new office with new characters, but would live within the same world as the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. The mooted follow-up to The Office US, which continues to be a huge draw on streaming, is being developed for Universal Television but has yet to receive a green light. Koman was approached thanks to his previous work on the docu-reality Comedy Central series Nathan For You, which he co-created with star Nathan Fielder, and saw Fielder attempt to help struggling companies. Koman’s other writing credits include Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. In 2012, he …

Nathan Wade resigns, allowing DA Willis to remain on Trump’s Georgia election case

Nathan Wade resigns, allowing DA Willis to remain on Trump’s Georgia election case

Judge Scott McAfee is allowing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to remain on the election subversion case against Donald Trump, having accepted the resignation of special prosecutor Nathan Wade as part of an agreement on Friday.      In his 23-page decision, McAfee proposed two options to wrap-up the matter of a conflict presented by Willis and Wade’s romantic ties, writing, “The district attorney may choose to step aside, along with the whole of her office, and refer the prosecution to the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council for reassignment. Alternatively, Wade can withdraw, allowing the district attorney, the defendants, and the public to move forward without his presence or remuneration distracting from and potentially compromising the merits of this case.” And Wade, choosing the latter, received praise from Willis for his “professionalism and dignity.” In Wade’s resignation letter, he writes: “The furtherance of the rule of law and democracy is and has always been the North Star of our combined efforts in the prosecution of those who are alleged to have attempted to overthrow the results of Georgia’s 2020 Presidential Election. I am …

Nathan Wade Pulls Out Of Fani Case After Fulton Fiasco

Update (1615ET): Hours after the judge in Trump’s Georgia election interference case issued an ultimatum to DA Fani Willis, her (ex) lover Nathan Wade has quit the case. As they say, the show must go on… *  *  * An Atlanta judge, who donated to Fani Willis when she was running for office, ruled on Friday that the highly conflicted Fulton County DA simply has to break up with her lover, Nathan Wade, who she hired to the tune of $600,000 to work on the Trump election interference case. If Willis dumps Wade the case can continue, according to Judge Scott McAfee of Fulton Superior Court, who also had the option of removing Willis over the giant conflict of interest which included lavish vacations with Wade that were effectively at the taxpayer’s expense. According to McAfee, while he found the “appearance of impropriety,” no “disqualification of a constitutional officer necessary when a less drastic and sufficiently remedial option is available,” adding “that the prosecution of this case cannot proceed until the State selects one of …

Toronto Raptors’ RJ Barrett Mourns Death of Younger Brother Nathan

The Toronto Raptors and Canada Basketball announced on Thursday that Nathan Barrett, the younger brother of Raptors player RJ Barrett, had died. Trump’s lawyers dug up phone records that could disprove DA Willis and Nathan Wade’s timeline

Trump’s lawyers dug up phone records that could disprove DA Willis and Nathan Wade’s timeline

In the latest attempt to poke holes in DA Fani Willis and prosecutor Nathan Wade’s testimony relating to when they began a romantic relationship and if it presents a conflict in their involvement in the election interference case against Donald Trump, his lawyers have presented new evidence in a push to have them booted. In a court filing on Friday, Trump’s lawyers presented an affidavit in Atlanta that details phone records obtained through a subpoena showing that Willis and Wade exchanged over 2,000 phone calls and roughly 12,000 text messages in the first 11 months of 2021, aiming to prove that the two began their relationship before 2022, as stated under oath. According to The New York Times, the affidavit of Charles Mittelstadt, an investigator hired by the Trump lawyers, also details cellphone location data indicating that on at least 35 occasions Wade’s phone was connected “for an extended period” to a cell tower near a condominium where Willis was living. Wade was officially hired by Willis in November 2021 to serve as lead prosecutor in Trump’s case, so this could all shake out to …

PDC world darts: Ricky Evans routs Nathan Aspinall in stunning style | PDC World Championships

Ricky Evans pulled off a stunning straight-sets upset to knock out World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall in round two of the world darts championship at Alexandra Palace. Evans, ranked 53rd in the PDC Order of Merit, lost just two legs in the final evening session match-up and will take on Northern Ireland’s Daryl Gurney in the last-32 after Christmas. Evans told Sky Sports: “Nathan is one of the best darts players in the world, and I’ve literally done a job on him there. I’m the weirdest, most lovable idiot in the world, and I’ve just beaten Nathan Aspinall! “There’s a funny walk-on, there’s a funny me, but there’s a good dart player there and eventually it’ll come out.” Stephen Bunting cruised into the third round with a 3-0 win over Ryan Joyce, averaging an impressive 107.28. Bunting hit five 180s en route to victory and will next face Germany’s Florian Hempel. Ryan Searle set up a meeting with Joe Cullen after beating Tomoya Goto 3-1. He handily won the first two sets, but his Japanese …

A Haunting in Manhattan – The Atlantic

Sign up for Kaitlyn and Lizzie’s newsletter here. Lizzie: What am I most afraid of? Being the last to die. Dying. Being put into one of those freezing morgue drawers while I’m still alive. Cottage cheese. Sometimes Matt hides in the dark and jumps out when I least expect it. My heart stops! Not ghosts. I’m not afraid of ghosts. Probably because their task lists aren’t really that scary. In Beetlejuice, the ghosts just want to stop their house from having a new design scheme. In The Amityville Horror, it’s basically the same thing. Ghosts are kind of like anti-house-flippers. Last week, Kaitlyn, Nathan, and I went on a ghost tour of the West Village. It was sort of like apartment hunting, except the broker listed everyone who’d died at each apartment, and you weren’t allowed to go inside anywhere. Kaitlyn had done a West Village ghost tour several years prior, so she was kind of an expert on the whole thing. Kaitlyn: I told Lizzie that I was down to repeat my West-Village-ghost-tour experience …
