A severely underweight dog was found abandoned in a Wigan park in the ‘worst case of neglect’ rescuers say they have ever seen. Luna the pooch had overgrown nails and was covered in fleas when she was discovered tied to park railings on June 5. The pup was found by a ‘kind’ passer-by who immediately contacted Eccles-based free-roaming animal sanctuary Dogs 4 Rescue, which cares for its dogs on a kennel-free retreat.
