On Wednesday (November 27), a tweet from former investment banker and author John LeFevre went viral. In the post, he included a screenshot of a headline, which read: “Ben Stiller says woke America killed ‘edgier’ comedy,” alongside a photo of Stiller’s Tropic Thunder character. In the controversial 2008 satirical comedy, Stiller plays Tugg Speedman, a method actor known for his portrayal of an autistic farmer called Simple Jack. “Says this…. Endorsed Harris…,” LeFevre tweeted, referring to the headline. By their very nature rations are never going to provide a gourmet meal. But you would hope that the foods UK soldiers are given to sustain them are at least enjoyable. Well, that’s not the case for some of them according to an American solider who has been giving them a taste test on YouTube. Sergeant First Class Tyler Butterworth, a soldier with the Army National Guard in the US, posted his reviews of the British Army menus to his wildly popular channel. He said the Indonesian-style spicy rice with pork and pasta bolognese meals “look like cat food,” reports The Times. Hillary Clinton has long been a favourite target of conservatives despite not being in the political spotlight since 2016. But that minor detail hasn’t stopped Jason Miller, a longtime adviser to Donald Trump and part of his 2024 presidential campaign, from trying to promote a false story that she is planning to run for president this year. Since 2019, Miller has been making social media posts that claim the former first lady is planning to run for president again, according to Meidas Touch. There is no real evidence that Clinton intends to run again; instead, she’s become a surrogate for US President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign, having hosted a fundraiser for him in November last year. Miller probably intended for his posts to raise havoc among low-information voters and pearl-clutching conservatives.
