Boy, 16, sentenced to life for murder of teenager Mikey Roynon in Bath | Knife crime

A 16-year-old boy has been detained for life for murder after stabbing a talented teenage rapper in the back of the neck with a “zombie” knife at a house party in Bath. Two of the murderer’s 16-year-old friends, who were also carrying zombie knives, were detained for nine years and nine years and six months after being found guilty of the manslaughter of Mikey Roynon, 16. During his sentencing remarks, Mr Justice Saini said the killing was an example of the “plague of knife crime” that was blighting Bristol and surrounding areas. He said: “The lives of young boys who carry knives continue to be taken at the hands of other boys who carry knives.” He said Mikey, from Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, was still a child but had a “bright musical career ahead of him”. Mikey’s mother, Hayley Ryall, said: “Every morning I wake up and it hurts as much as the last morning. I keep having awful dreams that Mikey is lost and I’m looking for him, but even the awful dreams are better …

Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day reprise viral Beavis and Butt-Head characters at Fall Guy premiere

Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day aren’t done playing Beavis and Butt-Head yet – the pair appeared as the characters at the premiere of Gosling’s latest film. Gosling, who stars in The Fall Guy opposite Emily Blunt, walked the carpet twice on Tuesday (Apr 30) during the Los Angeles premiere. He looked dapper for his first appearance in a mint green suit and shirt, but donned a blonde pompadour wig and “Death Rock” T-shirt for a second appearance as Beavis with Day’s buck-toothed Butt-Head. The animated characters, known for their stupid antics, ridiculous laughs and crass jokes, were a mainstay in the 1990s on MTV. Gosling and Day debuted their live-action take on the animated characters on Saturday Night Live last month, causing cast member Heidi Gardner and several other performers to break into laughter during the sketch. The bit, with Beavis and Butthead sitting in the audience of a panel discussion about artificial intelligence, has been viewed more than 13 million times on YouTube. Gosling and Day posed on the carpet in character, including with Fall …

Ryan Gosling, Mikey Day’s Beavis and Butt-Head Attend The Fall Guy Premiere

It appears Ryan Gosling and Mikey Day reprised their iconic Beavis and Butt-Head characters sooner than fans were likely expecting. The actor was joined by the Saturday Night Live star on Tuesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of Gosling’s latest movie, The Fall Guy. After the Barbie star initially walked the red carpet in a mint-green Gucci suit with his co-star Emily Blunt, Gosling later returned — only this time looking a bit different. Gosling and Day posed for photos as their live-action depictions of Beavis and Butt-Head, the main characters from the hit ’90s adult animated series. Gosling was seen with a blonde wig and blue shirt with words that read, “Death Rock,” and Day had on a gray shirt with the word, “Skull.” The duo first debuted the characters during a sketch on SNL on April 13, when the La La Land actor was hosting the sketch comedy show for the third time. The skit instantly became a hit among fans, garnering more than 13 million views on YouTube alone. In the …

Mikey Johnston scores first goals in four years as Celtic beat Dundee | Scottish Premiership

Mikey Johnston scores first goals in four years as Celtic beat Dundee | Scottish Premiership

Paulo Bernardo and Mikey Johnston were the unlikely goal heroes for Celtic at Dundee but Cameron Carter-Vickers was at the centre of an injury concern before Saturday’s visit by Rangers to Parkhead. Bernardo poked home the 52nd-minute opener at Dens Park to score his first goal for Celtic and substitute Johnston struck his first two goals for the Hoops since December 2019 to earn a comfortable 3-0 win. But the sight of influential centre-back Carter-Vickers going off shortly after the opening goal dampened the Celtic fans’ Boxing Day celebrations. Carter-Vickers immediately had words with Brendan Rodgers after the goal and the visiting supporters’ celebrations were almost silenced moments later when they saw the United States international walking off along with the physio. Carter-Vickers missed two-and-a-half games with a hamstring issue earlier this month and Celtic fans will hope the move was purely precautionary. This was Celtic’s seventh consecutive away game in the first fixture after Christmas Day and it produced a seventh win to ensure Celtic will go into the derby top of the Premiership. …
