Mike Hodgson, 54, a wind turbine company director, is accused of pulling out the colourful flowers less than 24 hours after the raised bed had been planted by the volunteers. Mr Hodgson and his partner allegedly took “power tools and crowbars” to destroy the bed of blooms next to his home in Gwaenysgor in North Wales. Click here to view this content. Villagers then staged a “sit-in” to protect the flowerbed during the turf war in the heart of the countryside village. Footage of Mr Hodgson and partner Shirin Poostchi, 55, appears to show the pair climbing onto the soil and pulling out the plants. Locals said there had been an ongoing planning dispute with Mr Hodgson after he moved into the village about 10 years ago.
