Usher’s 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show Is… OMG

Usher’s 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show Is… OMG

Usher left the crowd saying OMG with his Super Bowl halftime performance. On Sunday night, the R&B megastar added another accomplishment to his musical career checklist: Super Bowl halftime headliner. Dressed in a lavish sequined all-white pantsuit, he hit the stage at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas alongside a slew of fancily dressed dancers and contortionists for his 15-minute show during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers game. Usher and Alicia Keys ignited the stage during their duet of My Boo The eight-time Grammy winner kicked off his high-energy performance with Caught Up, and ran through a laundry list of smash hits including Yeah!, U Don’t Have To Call, My Boo, Love in This Club, Let It Burn, U Got It Bad and many more from his 30-year career. After much speculation, the crowd was delighted to witness Usher tap Alicia Keys, will.i.am, Jermaine Dupri and H.E.R. to join him for his electrifying performance of his biggest hits, while Lil Jon and Ludacris helped him close the show with Yeah!. H.E.R., Ludacris, …

Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Review

Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Review

I don’t know if Bill Hader’s Stefon character was necessarily the target audience for the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, but the easiest way to review the Usher-centric performance would be to say that Las Vegas’ hottest late-afternoon showcase had everything: Usher. Alicia Keys. The Southern University “Human Jukebox” Marching Band. Bendy Cirque du Soleil acrobats. A Starlight Express tribute. Lil Jon. H.E.R. Usher’s abs. Usher in a bedazzled suit with added abs. Ludacris. Lots and lots and lots of hits. I don’t know if Usher’s performance is going to generate the same volume of news coverage as Rihanna’s pregnancy-revealing halftime from Glendale, Arizona, last year, but in terms of overall showmanship, it was in a different league. I’d say Usher put on the best one-man Super Bowl halftime since Bruno Mars a decade ago and Beyoncé the year before that (apologies if you were a big fan of Katy Perry and her friendly dancing sharks or the star and co-creator of The Idol wandering through a hall of mirrors). The simple fact is that …

Usher joined by Alicia Keys, Lil Jon, Ludacris and more during Super Bowl LVIII halftime show

Football fans screamed, “Yeah!” as Usher took the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday. The singer opened the show with “Caught Up.” He then transitioned into a slew of his biggest hits including, “U Don’t Have to Call,” “My Boo” and “Burn.” He brought in numerous guest performers, including Alicia Keys, H.E.R., will.i.am, Lil Jon and Ludacris. At one point, Usher came out in a sparkly outfit as back-up performers rollerbladed around him and will.i.am during their performance of “OMG.” He finished the Halftime Show with “Yeah!” and a tribute to Atlanta. Usher is no stranger to Las Vegas, where the Super Bowl is being held. He recently finished a 100-show residency at the Dolby Live at Park MGM. He previously told Billboard that he was “trying not to overthink” his halftime set. “It’s literally 12 to 15 minutes, if I can manage to impress the entire world,” Usher told the publication. “Over 30 years of a career within 15 minutes, it’s a lot.” Usher dropped his ninth studio album, “Coming Home,” on Friday. …

Usher Brings Out Surprise Guests During Super Bowl Halftime Show Including Alicia Keys, Ludacris and More

Teamwork makes the dream work, and nobody proved that better than Usher on Sunday night! The Coming Home artist pulled off an undeniably epic Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show that featured intricate choreography, various callbacks to his iconic discography and, most importantly, a few guest appearances that are reminiscent of the days of TRL. Usher showed off his acclaimed showmanship by kicking off his performance with the classic banger “Caught Up” with an all-white outfit and acrobats and full Las Vegas glamour. After launching into his hits, “Superstar” and “Love in This Club,” Alicia Keys took the stage, with a custom piano and belted out her single, “If I Ain’t Got You,” and was joined by the leading man before he sang the first line of their iconic hit, “My Boo.”  PATRICK T. FALLON/AFP via Getty Images Together, the pair channeled the chemistry they had in 2004, when the songstress appeared on the chart-topping hit. For her brief appearance on the field, Keys wore an all-red look by Dolce & Gabbana. The pair sang the chorus as they walked the runway …
