  The study of folklore began in the 1770s with the German romantic nationalist Johann Gottfried Herder. The term itself was coined in the 1840s by William Thoms inspired by the German word Volklehre (“peoples customs”). Folklore refers to the stories, tales, music, dance, art forms, and traditions of a distinct community or group.   It has been convincingly argued by several scholars that the usurpation of Magnus Maximus in the 4th century was the origin of the legend of King Arthur conquering Europe. However, Maximus himself does not appear to be the “Arthur figure” who serves as the protagonist of this legend. Rather, it appears that it was Andragathius, a cavalry commander in his army. The Sun has reported that music icon Cher has begun “meaningful discussions” with Glastonbury organisers about performing in the coveted Sunday afternoon “Legends” slot last year. Citing an undisclosed “music insider”, the tabloid claimed that the If I Could Turn Back Time singer is eyeing a string of UK shows next year to coincide with her 60th year of making music, and an appearance at Worthy Farm could well be among them. Hackers have targeted the esports final of online shooter game Apex Legends, causing significant disruption to the closing stages of the North American tournament. The competition was thrown into disarray after unwanted cheats were deployed in-game with clips shared by pro players, showing their consternation toward the outside interference. Apex Legends is a free-to-play, team-based battle royale shooter developed by EA-owned Respawn Entertainment, the studio synonymous with Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. As the action was unfolding, Apex pro player Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose announced his game was being hacked with cheats used on his profile.
