Only add the pasta and cook for the last 25 minutes when you are ready to serve, or the pasta will go soggy.” Zuppa di verdure A simple but tasty dish that can be customised with whatever veg is in your fridge (Haarala Hamilton/PA) Serves: 6 Ingredients: 3 tbsp olive oil 2 onions, finely chopped 2 carrots, finely chopped 2 celery sticks, finely chopped 200g canned cannellini beans, drained 250g King Edward potatoes, chopped into 2cm chunks 200g dark green cabbage (cavolo …

’90 Day Fiancé’ Recap: Gino and Jasmine Get Married

’90 Day Fiancé’ Recap: Gino and Jasmine Get Married

Gino and Jasmine have finally tied the knot! On Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé, one of the most tumultuous couples in 90 Day Fiancé history got married. It’s been a long journey for Gino and Jasmine, who connected online before she eventually moved from Panama to Michigan to be with him. Their major issues have included her being overly jealous of Gino and quickly losing her temper, him sharing intimate pictures she sent him with his ex, her not getting along with his family and more. Still, Sunday’s episode featured the two overcoming all their obstacles and saying their I dos. Jasmine was upset since her family couldn’t attend the wedding, though she shared a heartfelt moment with her sister over the phone on her big day. While she at first didn’t want Gino’s family to attend the wedding, they did end up going and it brought them all closer. “Gino deserves to see a happy bride,” Jasmine told cameras. “He has worked so hard for our relationship. He has been nothing but supportive …

Did Francesca Gino and Dan Ariely Fabricate Data for the Same Study?

Did Francesca Gino and Dan Ariely Fabricate Data for the Same Study?

Two years ago, an influential 2012 study of dishonesty co-authored by the social psychologist and best-selling author Dan Ariely came under scrutiny. A group of scientists argued in their blog that some of the underlying data—describing the numbers of miles that a car-insurance company’s customers reported having driven—had been faked, “beyond any shadow of a doubt.” The academic paper featuring that study, which described three separate experiments and included five co-authors in all, was retracted not long after. At the time, Ariely said that the figures in question had been shared with him by the insurance company, and that he had no idea they might be wrong: “I can see why it is tempting to think that I had something to do with creating the data in a fraudulent way,” he told BuzzFeed, “… but I didn’t.” Had the doctoring been done by someone from the insurer, as Ariely implied? There didn’t seem to be a way to dispute that contention, and the company itself wasn’t saying much. Then last week, NPR’s Planet Money delivered …

Pello Bilbao pays tribute to Gino Mäder after Tour de France stage 10 win | Tour de France 2023

As he celebrated his first stage win in the Tour de France, Pello Bilbao pointed initially to the sky and then to his heart, in tribute to his former Bahrain Victorious teammate Gino Mäder, who died while descending at speed in the Tour of Switzerland less than a month ago. Bilbao won stage 10 to Issoire, after outsprinting Georg Zimmermann, racing for Intermarché-Circus-Wanty. The 33-year-old from Guernica was the fastest finisher from the remnants of a breakaway that eventually snuffed out the hopes of the lone attacker, Krists Neilands of Israel-Premier Tech, in the closing moments of the stage. Bilbao admitted, however, that it had been difficult to suppress his feelings as he edged closer to victory. “The key today was to control my emotions,” he said. “The last three weeks have been really intense. Today was different. I started the stage with clear ideas and had the capacity to take control in the race. “Everybody was on the limit. In the last three kilometres, I knew that I was the fastest in the group, …

Bahrain Victorious withdraw from Tour de Suisse after death of Gino Mäder | Cycling

The Bahrain Victorious team have withdrawn from the Tour de Suisse following the death of their rider, Gino Mäder, after crashing into a ravine on Thursday’s stage. The team made the announcement on social media on Saturday, after it was confirmed that the race would continue with the final two stages this weekend despite Mäder’s death. Friday’s stage had been neutralised, with riders completing the final 20km together as a mark of respect for the 26-year-old. “Following the tragic loss of Gino Mäder, Team Bahrain Victorious has taken the decision to withdraw from [the] Tour de Suisse,” the team said in a statement on Twitter. There had been questions over whether the Tour would be completed, and also whether or not the women’s edition would begin as planned on Saturday. The race director, Olivier Senn, said: “After consultation with all the people involved, we as the management stand united behind this decision and are trying to hold the last two stages of the men’s race in an appropriate setting.” Uncertainty remains over the end of …
