Jeffrey Epstein’s brother does not believe the paedophile made tapes to blackmail his powerful friends. The sex offender’s younger brother, Mark Epstein, 69, said he had heard plenty of rumours about them but “never really believed they existed”. “Jeffrey was buying islands in the Virgin Islands. He had his own private 727 [jet]. Do you think he needed to make money by extortion?” Mark told The Post. “He knew how to make money in the financial world. He knew all the dirty tricks. When he was on Wall Street he learned all the tricks before Wall Street was cleaned up.” In the late 1970s, Epstein climbed the ranks within the banking sector at Bearn Stearns.
