Springbok’s ‘outrageous’ dummy try leaves half a million viewers in awe
Springbok star Warrick Gelant has gone viral for an outrageous piece of skill that sent opposition defenders “to the corner shop”. The 28-year-old full-back was starring for the Stormers in their 42-12 thumping of URC high-flyers Leinster when he pulled off an audacious dummy that left two opponents scrambling before speeding away and diving over in the corner for a try. After the ball made its way through the hands off the back of a ruck, it came out to Gelant near the left touchline and, turning on the gas, he tried to beat the onrushing Henry McErlean and Charlie Tector for pace around the outside. It looked as though he would pass the ball on to winger Ben Loader, as he offered the ball to him with his outstretched hand.
