Post Malone Was ‘Honored’ to Collab With Taylor Swift on Fortnight

Post Malone is feeling even better now that his song with Taylor Swift has officially dropped. The singer-rapper, featured on Swift’s track “Fortnight” from her 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, released Friday, shared some sweet words on their collaboration and friendship. “It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world,” Malone wrote. “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey I love you so much. Thank you Tay.” The “Sunflower” singer also plays Swift’s ex-lover in the song’s music video, which sees her appear trapped, and him trying to save her at one point. The “Cruel Summer” singer also has matching face tattoos as Malone in one scene. Swift previously praised Malone for his help on the album’s lead single, writing on social media, “For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it. @postmalone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero …

Why Josh Charles Was a Bit Tortured Over His Appearance in Taylor Swift’s ‘Fortnight’ Music Video

Why Josh Charles Was a Bit Tortured Over His Appearance in Taylor Swift’s ‘Fortnight’ Music Video

Josh Charles was, shall we say, a bit tortured keeping it a secret that he had been cast to appear in Taylor Swift‘s highly anticipated “Fortnight” music video. The 52-year-old actor took to Instagram on Saturday and shared a couple of photos of him and Ethan Hawke, his Dead Poets Society co-star. The first photo’s a black and white pic of them in recent times while the second photo shows them in character for the 1989 coming-of-age drama directed by Peter Weir. Charles began his caption sharing that keeping secrets is not his thing. But he did, and he didn’t even tell his kids about being cast for Swift’s “Fortnight” music video. “Fortnight” is the opening track to her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department. “I don’t like keeping secrets so that was hard. I didn’t even tell my kids until the other day!” said the actor, who shares two kids with Sophie Flack. “Here’s a couple of tortured old poets about to board an early flight to be pop stars for a day. Been through …

On 19 April, the Tortured Poets Department artist celebrated the release of her “Fortnight” music video with a YouTube video containing a series of clips including one in which the Kansas City Chiefs player can be seen giving her a quick kiss on the cheek as she stirs food in a pan. In the clip, she can be seen wearing a black tank top, gold jewelry, and her signature fringe. Her 34-year-old beau rocks a black cardigan over a collared shirt as he enters the frame to surprise Swift, also 34, with a sweet peck on the cheek. For a second she’s shocked by the smooch but then begins to giggle at Kelce right before the video cuts to clips showing …

How Taylor Swift’s Fortnight music video is inspired by her famous best friend – see the video

Taylor Swift has dropped the music video for The Tortured Poets Department’s lead single ‘Fortnight’ – and fans have noticed it is heavily inspired by Emma Stone’s 2024 Oscar-winning film Poor Things.  In the video, Taylor can be seen strapped to a scientist’s chair which recalls Emma’s recent film with Yorgos Lanthimos. In the film Emma’s character Bella Baxter is a young woman brought back to life by an unorthodox scientist, but after she runs off with a lawyer around the world, Bella discovers her own liberation.  The video also saw her sitting in stark white rooms which recalls psychiatric wards, as well as setting fire to pieces of paper.  “I was supposed to be sent away, but they forgot to come and get me, I was a functioning alcoholic, ‘Til nobody noticed my new aesthetic,” she sings in the opening verse, matching the vibes of the video which sees Taylor handcuffed to a bed, only to be released after taking a pill.  In the video she also wears a gown by Australian designer Toni Maticevski, …

Taylor Swift Releases Music Video for ‘Fortnight’ With Post Malone

Taylor Swift has released the music video for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone from her new album, The Tortured Poets Department. The track is the first single from the record, which the singer released early Friday. In the footage, Swift and Post Malone play ex-lovers, with the latter trying to save the singer who appears trapped in her own space. At one point, Swift also seemingly has matching face tattoos as Post Malone. By the end of the video, Swift is breaking free, burning poems and breaking windows. “When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music,” the singer wrote on Instagram amid the music video’s release. “Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it. @postmalone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero …

Taylor Swift Announces ‘Fortnight’ With Post Malone Is First Single Off ‘The Tortured Poets Department’

Fans have long been waiting for Taylor Swift to announce which song off The Tortured Poets Department would be the lead single and it now appears that they need to look no further than the top of the tracklist — the very top, that is.  Just hours ahead of TTPD‘s release on Friday, Swift took to her social media pages to announce that the first single off her highly anticipated 11th studio album is one that features a longtime friend and collaborator — Post Malone.  In a post on Twitter, the “Delicate” singer, 34, shared the news that the song “Fortnight,” the first song on the 17-song album, will debut on the charts Friday at the same time as the project’s release and that the music video she previously teased on Instagram would be for the song. “I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever,” Swift wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter) while announcing the debut …

How long should it take to answer a Whatsapp? About a fortnight | Nell Frizzell

How long should it take to answer a Whatsapp? About a fortnight | Nell Frizzell

Few things bring me greater joy than someone taking two weeks to reply to a WhatsApp message. I mean it. This week, my friend and former teacher replied to a message I sent asking after his knee, with a very friendly and funny message. It had taken him a mere 24 days to respond. Glorious. Not only does that kind of slack immediately take any pressure off me to reply there and then, while trying to simultaneously slice a potato, open a box of magnets for my son, load the washing machine and turn down the radio; but it proves the two of us have enough mutual affection and respect that, at some point, we can just pick up where we left off. Have I replied to him yet? Of course not. I’ve had cables to untangle and rice to boil. But I will. This kind of rhythm reminds me of conversations I used to have with my cousin; they would sometimes be interrupted by three weeks’ absence (we lived in different cities), but then …

Keir Starmer’s had a torrid fortnight, but the big picture is bleakest for Rishi Sunak | Andrew Rawnsley

Keir Starmer’s had a torrid fortnight, but the big picture is bleakest for Rishi Sunak | Andrew Rawnsley

Liz Truss, a name with which you will be painfully familiar if you have had to remortgage your home since she was prime minister, has claimed that “Britain is full of secret Conservatives”. If so, these clandestine Tories were keeping themselves exceptionally well hidden when it came to voting in the recent brace of byelections. The Conservatives were clobbered in Kingswood and walloped in Wellingborough, the latter producing the second largest swing from the Tories to Labour since 1945. This double whammy of byelection humiliations adds to the lengthening list of electoral eviscerations that have been inflicted on the Tories since Rishi Sunak moved into Number 10. The promise to his party that he had it in him to turn around their fortunes remains undelivered. The flaccid manner in which the Tories tackled these contests makes you wonder whether even the prime minister still believes in the notion of a Rishi Revival. During byelections where the governing party is profoundly unpopular, it is nevertheless usual for the incumbents to put up at least some pretence …
