72 Years After Its Debut, Blancpain Finally Perfected Its Pioneering Dive Watch

[ad_1] The new 38-mm references still look the part of the 1953 model: the sapphire bezel insert recalls vintage Bakelite types used in the mid-20th century, while the luminous sword-shaped hands also remain. Other specs have been updated in the intervening decades: applied indices in place of painted luminous ones, sapphire crystal instead of acrylic, unidirectional bezel action instead of bidirectional, 300m of water resistance instead of 100m. Furthermore, Blancpain’s automatic manufacture Cal. 1153 offers a whopping 100 hours of power reserve, which is far cry from what was available in early Fifty Fathoms movements. © Ben Thouard :© Ben Thouard Colorways in the new model include both classic Fifty Fathoms hues—steel with a black dial, titanium with a blue dial, and red gold with a blue dial—as well as two new versions targeting ladies with pink or black mother-of-pearl dials. These two MOP iterations, which feature matching bezels and do not include the collection’s slightly contentious 4:30 date window, will, of course, invariably appeal to both women and men. Especially for those who found …

Nicola Coughlan tries the ‘no trousers’ trend for her red carpet debut with boyfriend Jake Dunn

[ad_1] Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is one of the rare actors whose style off-screen is as exciting to behold as the dramatic period gowns she wears in the hit Netflix show. Known for her penchant for polished yet playful fashion choices, the Derry Girls star delivered a masterclass in contemporary tailoring at the BAFTA TV and Craft Awards in London. © Getty Images for BAFTANicola Coughlan attends a BAFTA event in a no-trouser ensemble For the event, Nicola opted to eschew trousers altogether, hopping on our favourite recent ‘no trousers’ trend, instead plumping for micro shorts teamed with an immaculately tailored blazer, and best of all, an absolutely huge mesh bow that fell all the way to her feet.  We’ve got sleek minimalism on show here (very Valentino SS25) and a daring silhouette that echoes classic Schiaparelli shapes. Excellent work Nicola.  © BAFTA via Getty ImagesAnother angle of Nicola’s incredible outfit Once relegated to editorial spreads, micro shorts have undergone a renaissance of late, emerging as a tailoring staple for spring/summer 2025. HD Hyundai set to debut production hydrogen wheeled excavator

[ad_1] HD Hyundai is set to unveil a production version of its hydrogen fuel cell powered HW155H 14-ton wheeled excavator – one of ten updated or all-new machines rumored to making their debut at this year’s Bauma construction trade show. Wheeled excavators are having something of a resurgence in the equipment space these days – and with good reason. The machines are easily deployable by municipalities, can navigate urban and suburban environments with ease, and can be fitted with a broad range of accessories to make jobs from digging to demolition to landscaping possible (and, if any of you Steelwrist guys are reading this … that thing’s cool). And it’s those same municipalities that are holding the line on emissions and environmental regulations, and more often than not the people who have to hear about it when the noise of a conventional ICE-powered job site upsets Mrs. Klancik’s terrier. HD Hyundai is leaning into the wheeled excavator rennaisance with its new HW155H, a quiet, zero-emission asset that can reportedly send between 70 and 100 kW of power …
